You should watch it! It was a good fight.

Lemuix is clearly the 3rd best MW if not #2.

        3) If Canelo suddenly jumps ship and fights Lemieux in fall he won't have ANYBODY defending him. That's his last deadline. If he doesn't fight Golovkin by then, he better start tweeting that he wants to see Golovkin's pay checks and post photos of himself and his entourage in Ferraries.

So have a little faith, brother
You are right. However, let's just keep in mind that Trout and Lara didn't possess nowhere near the same amount of physical threat as in knockout power, to Canelo Alvarez as Gennady Golovkin does. At the same time though, I do admire your optimism. We'll just keep our fingers cross that the fight actually does happen.

Stevens looks like is only 5'5 if Lemieux is between 5'8" to 5'8'.5.

Golden Boy should just feed this guy bums on Canelo undercards.

With the WBC making Jermall #2, I think it's highly likely he'll be fighting Jorge Heiland next. That's an easy fight for him to start out at 160. Then the WBA & WBC were talking about unifying their mando's for GGG, so after Heiland it could be the winner of N'Dam/Murata.
The KO of J-Rock was a move of beauty, something beyond Lemieux's capabilities in my opinion. His footwork is far superior to Lemieux's as well. I saw him going even with Trout. Trout is a good boxer. J-rock too.

This has to be said, right now GGG is the most dominant, Jacobs most skilled and complete, and Lemieux the hardest puncher in the Middleweight division. I'd have to say that I think Canelo gets beaten by either of the three (although I think Canelo vs Lemieux is a pretty even fight). And I'm absolutely interested in seeing where Charlo fits. Looks like the Middleweight division may be gaining some of it's past glory.

I think Canelo could beat all of those guys.

I think he definitely dominates and stops Lemieux, who is NOT a top fighter..... and I would also favor him over Jacobs.

Canelo has better skills and a more refined technique than Jacobs, he is a little more well-rounded..... I would favor Canelo in that fight.

Golovkin/Canelo is the only 50/50 fight in that bunch imho

Stevens against the ropes trying to throw a left hook with his hands down, only thinking offense against a power puncher is a recipe for disaster. He should hang them up after this ko, especially with the way he fights.

even if that is correct, I just don't think hes that good

a very good puncher, but an average fighter

                    e.g.

it would not surprise me if someone like Saunders, or even Lee, boxed the shht out of him

                    this middleweight era is dreadful

I think Canelo dominates because he's an extremely accomplished boxer. There's a reason his only loss is to Floyd. Canelo is truly a superb boxer.

Regarding Lemieux, it's incorrect I think to say that he's not a top fighter--he's among the top-ranked middleweights and a former world champion. He's just not Canelo. Or, Manny, or Floyd. Once you clear the list of those kinds of people, yes Lemieux belongs.
