beings that we talking about Floyd here, and what style could beat him, I think you have to ask Floyd that...cause I just knew that's who would be next when the offer was one the table, and I was wrong...Comment

The POINT is you were not correct about any of the 70's/80' fighters mentioned losing in their prime to lesser fighters. You were the one who tried to compare and used a hollow argument. Floyd NEVER beat another high level ATG in a super fight when both were in their prime and sure as hell not on the level of a Hearns, Duran 1980 Montreal, or Leonard. The bottom line is based on the topic; Hearns would have flatted him and Leonard would have been too much for him. He would have had a struggle with Benitez....so whats your point....fighters cant pick eras....in 49 fights the man was in over 20 world titles fights....beat over 20 world titleholders....a dozen of them held lineal titles at some point in their careers.....he won lineal titles in 4/5 weight classes
proof is in the pudding. he had the best resume of the era.Comment

Unless he had a huge size advantage as he did with Hatton, faded Pac and Marquez, he doesn't match well against aggressive fighters who bring it. He arguably lost three fights; De La Hoya, Maidana and Castillo. His fans always hark back to his fight with Corrales as the benchmark for his greatness.
Now, he is in desperation mode, practically begging Conor McGregor to fight him so he can pick up an easy 50th win against a guy with not one legit boxing match to his credit and an easy pay day from the suckers who will buy this fight. Way to put the cherry on a career that was built upon faded household names, smaller opponents and slow flat-footed brawlers.
you will be well loved around here...lolComment
