What gameplan/boxing style defeats Mayweather?

he won the tito fight 8-4 imo in a interview he said he got countered by titto and buzzed in the 7 or 8th round and since he knew he was well ahead(or at least thought) he coasted the rest of the way...but he says he should of never stopped coming forward in retrospec......
he never stopped coming forward much in the may fight....may could not punch like tito.....that's for sureComment

Ricky Hatton was the ideal style. Unfortunately Ricky was too small to sustained the tempo. I think Ricky beats Floyd if it wasn't for size. You can't just be a pressure fighter with a good chin that isn't shy to get touched. Speed is the one ingredient other pressure fighters that Floyd faced had lacked. Ricky had it, but was just too small.

Ricky was one of my favorite fighters, but not in a million years does Ricky ever beat Floyd.Ricky Hatton was the ideal style. Unfortunately Ricky was too small to sustained the tempo. Yep, cotto in his prime would've supposedly done this and that, but they forget to roll back the years for Floyd. Or, it's "floyd waited for so and so to get old", like floyds age just freezes, like people b1tching about manny...never mentioning floyd is several years older lmao...dumb azz fans some are.Comment

A gun and maybe then Floyd might make you missI'd like to make a civilized discussion on which fighter would best represent the best style to beat the undefeated & incredibly slick Floyd Mayweather.
Many have tried, many have failed but in your mind, what would be the best strategy or what type of fighter would be needed to defeat someone like Mayweather?

Then you qualify big time because you skate around the fact that Floyd was performing at the highest levels in boxing as a welterweight and no one is that ****** to argue that!! He rose to the highest P4P level as the result! THAT is why he is CONSTANTLY brought up in countless threads including this one about how he would fair against the greatest welterweights! You just dont ***ing get it!what fighter do you know is at their best in their FOURTH DIVISION? and most of his time there was in his thirties genius
by the time he beat Gatti, he was already 28 and had 34 fights already.
Floyd was at his best @ 140 and below.....he had all the athleticism of his youth and years of experience as pro....also he was more aggressive and hurting guys
when he fought Gatti his record was 34-0 (24 kos). He was having hand issues ever since his lightweight days and you can see that by the brands he used after he moved from 130.
Floyd was in his prime in the early to mid 2000s....not 2007 in his 4th and 5th division and constant hand issues...dude also changed his style to compensate for the size disparity he gave up and brittle hands
did you even watch boxing back then and see how different he fought before his welterweight days?
trying to be a smart azz while looking like an idiot must qualify as a badge of honor.Last edited by richardt; 03-08-2017, 11:00 PM.Comment
