Is anybody paying attention when they watch these fights? Wilder landed two rights hand that shook Washington in the 4th round during that one sequence. Then Virgil Hunter says Wilder didn't land a right hand yet in between round 4 and 5. That's just evidence of pre-conceived notions. When rounds are admittedly close you gotta pay ****ing attention or don't score. Talking more about fan scoring, I do respect Virgil Hunter but wtf was he watching.

There's footage from the crowd that shows Gerald walking away towards his corner but then he veers off and falls into the ropes like a drunkard, ref having to catch him. He was out on his feet. Maybe you want to see him go to sleep but he wasn't defending himself and was done. Ref needed to not hesitate but it was a good stoppage.

Wilder can punch, but his "balance" always reminds me of Jack Sparrow..

I don't know what the hell he was doing in this fight. As soon as he put some punches together he ended it.

Hopefully Wilder will face better competition after this. I wanna see him get in the ring with either Tyson Fury or David Haye or Parker next.

Yes, Wilder stopped another BUM, nothing special. He stopped ex football player, lol. Wilder has bad foot work, no difence, Joshua would kill him.

I thought the fight was stopped early myself but Washington didn't do anything to help himself out either. I agree with you about Joshua too....if the Wilder from last night fought Joshua, I can't see anyway for Wilder to win.

No more hallow callouts with zero intention of following through - mean it this time.

We need to find out if his one shot power is enough to make up for poor boxing ability - against a proper fighter.
If Ortiz, Joshua, Fury, or Klitschko isn't an opponent within this year, Wilder will be losing my support. I knew he would need a tuneup to test himself after the injuries so I'm not too upset about this opponent. Having a good American HW champ is also a good thing but if he doesn't fight a top guy this year, it's inexcusable.
