Comments Thread For: The Deontay Wilder Conundrum

By Cliff Rold - The bricks are being laid in the foundation of what plenty in boxing's power circles hope will be a mega-event. The idea of, eventually, getting to a showdown between an undefeated Anthony Joshua and an undefeated Deontay Wilder just smells like money. How much money, whether it could get from what would already be a pretty big fight to the area of legitimate superfight, probably relies on two things...

"If Wilder keeps winning, he’s going to get to the big payday. Finding the foes that finish his validation will determine whether he gets there as a genuine co-star in the event."

He isn't looking for the 'right' foes. He's running from them as fast as he can. Talks more b.s. than a shady used car salesman with a bad combover, Ban-Lon slacks, white shoes, matching white belt.

    LOL

The facts don't support your position.

If he was running from foes, why did he fly to Moscow to defend against the TBRB #1 in enemy territory?

Why is his team in the middle of negotiations to unify with Parker this Summer?

The truth is that foes have been running from him. Or cheating and then getting caught.

And he sure was elated when that one fell through

Why is his team in the middle of negotiations to unify with Parker this Summer?

This summer. What does 'this summer' have to do with initially telling people GB wanted him to go 20-0 before any competition, THEN ended up going over 30 fights with pathetic opposition. And since, only fighting ONE true test?

The truth is that foes have been running from him. Or cheating and then getting caught.
You think what you want. Your alt-facts fail under the heat lamps.

If my facts weren't easily verifiable, you'd be disproving them instead of hiding behind "think what you want."

FACT: Wilder has the best win of any current heavyweight champion.

FACT: Wilder is the longest reigning heavyweight champion.

FACT: His title has the longest unbroken lineage.

FACT: AJ's best defense was against a guy Wilder already defended against and knocked out.

FACT: Wilder flew to Moscow to defend against the current TBRB #1.

FACT: Wilder is negotiating to unify in his next fight after Washington.

Let go of the straws friend. Walk away from the straws. LOL

It will be funny when you Wilderiots get shut down, and it will be happening soon enough. So enjoy your hero and his hometown fights vs club fighters. It is amusing to those of us who have actual critical thinking skills. Wilder is a clown, having to hire the slickest of all negotiators and advisers just to stay relevant. I'm done talking with you friend. Too old to waste time on hosers.

If he loses, he loses. WTF do I care? I'm just offering an honest assessment of his resume. You're the one lying and exaggerating. If his defenses have been against club fighters, then so have AJ's. It's completely illogical to spend your time focused on criticizing Wilder's resume when he has the best resume of any current heavyweight champion.

It just makes you a hater. Plain and simple.

Let's be honest. We both know you're a giant loser in real life. I would bet so much money on that it's not even funny.

Wilder is a new heavyweight titlist, not the champion. I get your point though. He gets criticism in a weak division even though there are no stand outs. Fury has an old Klitschko and nothing g else, but he is the top gun. What does any other fighter have? The heavyweight division keeps getting worse and worse. I can't blame the fighters anymore.....It's a division void of talent. But I do blame the promoters for milking it. At least boring assed Alas had some skills and fought the best. This division keeps getting worse and worse.
