Why does TBRB omit Canelo from their top 10 P4P list

Canelo probably didn't sign an autograph for TBRB or something. Boxing writers and media these days are a bunch of hoes whose biases cloud their judgment. The only boxing articles I check out are informative ones, anything with any opinion is worthless.

If a fighter gives media members free tickets and autographs/gear then they get good coverage. If not they get bad coverage.

Nobody gives him respect for beating Khan. That was just like a make a wish foundation fight for the boxing fans who just wanted Khan put to sleep.

He just made 154 his last fight rather easily apparently and looked better than he recently has at the weight in...and stopped Liam in the later rounds. He's not even the biggest 154 pounder when he's there.

      The Cotto comment...lol.
Yes, he's not 154, and yes, he's amazing at shedding off weight since he's had 10 years of practice and is still young.

Cotto the lineal MW champ deserves a chuckle. What's the closest Cotto came to weighing at 160? 155? Cotto's best weight is WW. He's currently in discussion with JMM for a CW bout at 150. Cotto is NOT a MW and is barely a 154.

He did not make weight rather easily. Go back and watch that video for that fight. He strips down naked, makes weight, and leaves immediately. There was even an article on why his appearance was so short, with both dehydration and cheating theories flying.

In regards to not the biggest 154 pounder out there, that's 100% wrong. Canelo stopped reporting rehydration weights in 2012, when he was 22 years old. Back then he weighed 168 vs. Mosley. A 22 year old kid rehdyrated 14 lbs. With the just the simple way human body grows, he would be rehydrating to low 170s by now. But he's put on a ton of muscle since 2012. This is not a 22 year old kid, this is a 26 fighter in his prime. Liam Smith is what a 154 lber actually looks like. Go back and watch their fight, Canelo is noticeably thicker.

Logically, I don't believe Amir Khan's claim that Canelo weighted 187 against him, that's bollocks. He's never specified how much he rehydrates to, but according to him he's never rehydrated to 180. To me, that means he's been between 175 and 180.
No Jr MW today rehydrates to 175+. Hell, even most MWs don't rehydrate that high.

I'm not a Canelo hater. I absolutely love watching him fight and think he's extremely underrated. But I'm not putting him on a P4P list until he fights men his own size.

There's no reason why Canelo should get respect for beating the guys who can't hurt him such as Cotto.
Boxing is about skills man,and Canelo has shown he has skills..Lara and Trout are his own weight as were Kirkland and Angulo

PFP isn't really the same as resume. It's how good for his weight you think a boxer is today based on his very recent fights. If you think he is better than some other fighter for his weight then you can rate him higher even if that guy has a better resume. Mikey, Canelo and LSC are all on my PFP ten best list. The way the poll was set up I had to give some good fighter the boot to get Canelo back on the top 10 PFP list where I strongly believe he belongs. I had Canelo take Inoue's place because I have not seen Inoue fight. He might belong in the top 10 as well.

Canelo is a regular athlete with absolutely no superman like powers to gain more weight after the weigh in easier than any other boxer. That's an excuse Canelo haters use to discredit his fine performances in the ring.

Resume is part of my criteria but it's not the sole defining factor, it's 1/3 of the equation
                      .
Totally agree with your criteria. I take resume with a grain of salt when determining p4p but i have canelo in my top 10 around 8. Also hate people saying canelo have this great resume. Someone show me a good win besides lara and that was pretry controversial. Old ass mosely and cotto doesnt count. His next best win is trout so thats two good "wins" and the rest of his career was pretty average.

Curious to see your list btw.
