  • Why does TBRB omit Canelo from their top 10 P4P list

But adds LSC and Mikey Garcia? Inoue's best win is Narvaez.

Canelo has a better resume than all 3 combined.

Miguel Vazquez 2x when they were both young pros

Ryan Rhodes - At the ranked #4 by The Ring at JMW

Austin Trout - 154 boogieman at the time, WBA champ.

Alfredo Angulo - Tough guy but was put there to get KO'ed. Still a good name.

Erislandy Lara - Another 154 boogieman who fans accused Canelo of being scared of.

James Kirkland - Same as Angulo, just slightly better though.

Miguel Cotto - Canelo's best win, future HOF'er.

Is the TBRB playing games here? What are they accomplishing by leaving out a top star who obviously has a good resume, but adding in fighters with lesser resumes? Are their top 10 P4P lists going to omit resumes and just go with who's KO'ing their bum of the month in the best fashion? How did Zlaticanan and Frampton entered Mikey and LSC into the P4P ranks but Cotto, who's better than both, doesn't get Canelo into the P4P ranks? And how much better is Zlaticanan than Liam Smith?

that's bs, Canelo is a clear P4P fighter, three time champ in two weight divisions, and two weight lineal champ

He's not a P4P fighter as he has barely fought anyone his own weight. He's a MW who's amazing at shedding weight. He didn't get much respect for beating smaller Khan, Golovkin didn't get much respect for beating smaller Brook. There's no reason why Canelo should get respect for beating the guys who can't hurt him such as Cotto.

Canelo is a definite top 10, maybe 5 p4p fighter based off of his skill. And anyone saying Canelo is much larger than an average JMW clearly doesn't know very many JMW boxers. At 5'9 about 170 in the ring, he's rather average in size for a 154 pounder.

Yet some ******s say that Lara or Trout are "smaller" fighters

I don't have Canelo in my top 10 either.

Resume is part of my criteria but it's not the sole defining factor, it's 1/3 of the equation
                  .

What kind of hate is this? He's not 154 just good at losing weight? Are you new to combat sports? Cotto...the lineal MW champ...too small to face Canelo at a catchweight. That's literally the most ******ed thing I've ever heard considering Cotto himself is just a 154 pounder like Canelo. :/

Nobody gives him respect for beating Khan. That was just like a make a wish foundation fight for the boxing fans who just wanted Khan put to sleep.

He just made 154 his last fight rather easily apparently and looked better than he recently has at the weight in...and stopped Liam in the later rounds. He's not even the biggest 154 pounder when he's there.

The Cotto comment...lol. Seriously man. Cotto couldn't hurt Canelo because he just wasn't good enough. That's the bottom line.

But yes...Canelo should be on the list. Inoue and Mikey are legit real talents and LSC is a pretty good fighter himself but Canelo is an established p4p fighter and talent. Hate it or love it, he really is one of the better guys in the sport.
