Exactly and thats why high level guys like Arum and Marquez called the flat fee a bullsht offer.

It's not Canelo's place to offer GGG flat fee.

So, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. A Mexican with red hair. Had a boxing crazy nation behind him. Had the luxury of creating his own weight class.

That gives him the right to invite Golovkin into the ring after KO-ing a chinny ex-lightweight and then drop the belt? Disrespect Golovkin by giving him a fixed fee for the biggest fight in boxing?

Stop counting Golovkin's money and years left in his boxing life.

Golovkin won't accept a flat fee for this fight. And he's prepared to let the fight go over this. And he's right.

For Golovkin the recognition is worth more than the money. That's his currency. Pay him his due and make the fight.
        lol.

If Golovkin walks, he's left to hoping that K2/HBO are ready to pay up to get Billy Joe Saunders or he's heading back to checking for his mandatory defenses.

Fighting Golovkin isn't something that Alvarez has to do, and it's odd that you seem to think that fighting Golovkin is some must-happen.

That's why canelo is fighting Chavez. That ppv will kill GGG/Jacobs then canelo will offer 5mill plus upside. He has no legs to stand on. People complain about the old days but their just that....old. **** like this been going on since boxing started. No GGG hater but dam dude ain't fought nobody to earn a big payday regardless if he has belts. Taking no challenges, even Chavez jr moving up n down n weight to get the fight n money. Floyd conceited everything to Oscar and Bhop too. Nobody cares bout belts lol that's old!! GGG should take the offer for ****s sake, if you know you can beat then the rematch is your real pay day. Am I missing something. Yea he lost to floyd but he has been in over 3 million buys. K2 just not smart.

So it would be fair to offer him a deal that'll most likely pay out less than $15m? Interesting...

There's no "bluff" to bother with; take the money, fulfill whatever obligations that come with the money, and hope to God that he 1)gets passed Jacobs and 2)the boil down to 160lbs doesn't finally harm his 35-year old body.
I still think Canelo vs ggg does around 1 mil in buys which is more than Canelo will do with anyone else available to him. Can you recall any fight with this type of demand from the boxing public that can potentially do around 1 mil in ppv where 1 guy didn't get any ppv cut? Ever?

                • There is no incentive for Canelo or Golden boy to increase there offer. BBB side can say no to it and go fight bums for the next few years for less than a 3rd of what's being offered while Canelo makes just as much if not more than he would pull for this fight for the next decade.
BBB side isn't in a position to make demands to anyone with options and their position will not get any better after both sides next fights. Hell if BBB sides PPV bombs they may not get that $15 million offer.

                  • obviously canelo is the a side here,i wouldn't give ggg more than 25%...75/25 is all I would offer,i would just say that is all we are offering,we are not changing our minds, yes or no so we can move on...golovkin will obviously help but he's no canelo, this isn't about who is the better boxer,or if you think canelo is good or not, canelo is the bigger fighter here,so golovkin should know his place, lets see how he does against Jacobs, and remember he has a pretty good undercard to help him with the sales of ppv

And there will never be. Canelo can keep quacking all he wants. For some reason he thinks he's Floyd. His last ppv sold 300k. Golovkins ppv sold 150k.

I love watching canelo fight, but he's becoming a disgrace to boxing in the last few years.
Alvarez-Golovkin isn't a super fight, though; it's not bigger than Cotto-Alvarez and, in the grand scheme of things, it's likely not as big a fight (from the spectacle perspective) as Alvarez-Khan was.

Golovkin's first foray onto PPV, after nearly three years of work by HBO to build him, did maybe 100k PPV buys. The fact that you've tried to push such a feeble number as grounds for a "super fight" is laughable.

Alvarez's last three PPVs, did 300k, 600k, and 900k PPV buys, repsectively; on the PPVs where he was the headline attraction, Alvarez's numbers start off at more than double what Golovkin's PPV number is, with the money generated at least triple. lol
