I was high on Spence before most people on this site. Said he was a top prospect and would beat a lot of top 10 fighters - 2 years ago. Got a lot of red for that.

Since the Algieri KO it's just been ridiculous. From people saying Brook ducked Spence to fight GGG, to people saying Brook is scared, to people saying Spence is the best WW in the world, to saying everybody's afraid of him etc

It just gets dumber and dumber. However, just as it was with Porter, when everyone were saying Brook was scared and Porter is the WW Mike Tyson - As soon as he gets dominated, everyone will say they were never that high on him.

Happy this fight is happening. It's a good fight between an established champion and a legit top contender. May the best man win.

Personally the fans win in this scenario, it's a very very good fight for both side of the coin. Am backing Brook and I want him to take the fight and win period!!! That doesn't change my opinion of him in regards to taking the fight now or whatnot. Regardless of what each fans say this would or should be the biggest test for both fighter at 147.

Spence is likeable, he wants to fight the best and he's not pulling any roadblocks or being difficult to negotiate with. He's got some GGGroupies scared for some reason though. I like Brook and be happy for him if he pulled it off also but not feeling the way some of these Golovkin fans adopted him because he's a victim of their God. Anyway I'll be glad once the fight is signed, sealed and delivered.

Look through the posts of guys like Jubei and Bigdramashow, they both basically pleaded for Brook to sidestep his mandatory, saying stuff like "Spence needs to get in line" ...... I'll tell you this though, those guys were singing a different tune when Golovkin was Canelo's mandatory.

Nah, just a bit of banter with that scrub. I'm just looking forward to what I think will be a good fight. I've also wanted to find out asap if Spence is legit.
