Ggg has to get old at some point. Jacobs has a shot...lots of guys look unbeatable until they get beat. I like both fights. One is the 2 best guys in the division fighting eachother, the other is a prospect who looks like the goods putting himself to the test against a top guy in the division.

What I noticed is that you don't see people who are backing Brook trying to build Spence up, they are tearing him down and downplaying his worthiness of the hype he has received. This is GOOD, this tells you we have a real fight on our hands.

Compare that to the Golovkin vs Jacobs fight where we have those backing GGG trying to build Jacobs up and basically sell the fight to us, this tells me it's not perceived as a competitive fight and deep down those fans don't see Jacobs as a threat.

I don't think anyone would argue that both Brook and Golovkin are favourites heading into the fights but you can't deny that there is a difference in how both these fights are being discussed on here and it comes down to Spence being seen as a threat where as Jacobs isn't. So call Spence the next Jeff Lacy or American hype job or whatever but the truth is (pun intended) you know he's a worthy opponent and a threat otherwise you would be trying to build him up like Jacobs so you can overrate the win rather than tear him down.

Just my thoughts on the fight.
Who has been tearing down Errol Spence Jr?

Platitudes don't really work for your credibility; share some actual examples

I think Brook is a good fighter. He only lost to GGG and everybody loses to him. He beat Porter by about the same amount that Thurman did and Porter is a hard guy to beat.A win over Brook would be an excellent win for Spence and put the boxing world on notice that he is a welterweight to be reckoned with. I believe Spence can beat any welterweight fighting today if given the opportunity.

I'm curious to see if he can maintain his level of performance against a truly world class opponent which Brook is. I've wanted this fight from day 1, it's always been very interesting to me. Some people on here feel that pushing for this fight to happen means you think Brook is ducking or you're a huge Spence fan, neither of those apply to me. I actually really like Brook but I felt he was wasting time trying to get Khan and the GGG fight, while lucrative, was always going to put him in a difficult position upon his return to 147 because of the weight.

I truly think this will be one of the best fights at 147 in recent years, both guys can box and hit hard. It's going to be a cracker. May the best man win.

Weve had this hype before with broner and its the same old song and dance. Got teddy atlas putting him on the p4p list, saw someone today saying hes going to beat golovkin soon. Its ridiculous. We had all this with broner, 'hes the next mayweather!' you guys were all so sure of it, it was just a matter of time!!! Then he stepped up, and got brutally found out. J-rock williams, saw he was on a few peoples sigs, this guy was the future, he'd been looking real good against them c level fighters and the power was legit! Charlo was going to be his coming out party! Then he stepped up, and got ko'd. Time and time again people overhype fighters and get carried away especially with offensive fighters, when they start knocking out lower level fighters quicker than other people have. So im not just picking on american fighters i'll use a recent uk example, david price just got stopped for the 4th time. Seems ridiculous now, but this guy was espn prospect of the year, would have been heavy favourite against tyson fury, he was meant to be the next lennox lewis, then he stepped up and got found out. Now hes pretty much a laughing stock but this guy was meant to be next heavyweight superstar. Errol spence MAY become a top fighter and ive got nothing against him. But what makes my blood boil is how people take it for granted that hes the next welterweight king, saw people just dismissing lacy comparisons, they cant fathom how spence could possibly be a hype job. Its quite possible brook could absolutely school him, its quite possible spence demolishes him, people should just wait and see before making these ridiculous assertions of how great spence is based on him walking through fighters that have absolutely zero power. Lets see what happens when he gets punched back and reign the hype in please, sick of reading it.
Coming from you this is hilarious

              Really? Blaming the GGG fans?

A while ago the haters were claiming, "GGG scared to fight Jacobs cause he wont offer him millions" or, "GGG ducking Jacobs", etc. Now the haters claim the GGG fans are the one building up Jacobs.

****ing hysterical. You guys truly are ridiculous

At no point did I blame GGG fans for anything, I simply compared 2 examples demonstrating the difference in how fanbases reacted to an opponent.

As for your claim that GGG fans are not building up Jacobs? .... lool seriously?

Are Maxi and Bigdramashow not Golovkin fans, granted they are not the most intelligent but they are fans nonetheless. Both those guys have been building up Jacobs since the fight got signed. Bigdramashow is asking if beating Jacobs makes Golovkin P4P number 1. Looooool!!

If you can take the opinions of Kigali, Sugarkainehook (terrible posters) as proof of people claiming Golovkin was scared of Jacobs then I sure as hell can use the opinions of Maxi and Bigdramashow to demonstrate my point of Golovkin fans building Jacobs up.

For me this is a little like the Kovalev - Ward fight in the fact that both fighters (and the fighter fans) know they're in for a fight.

I'm not a poster to tear down guys anyway for the sake of it, but both guys deserve more than that if this fight get's the green light.

I'm picking Brook to win. But if Spence wins, credit to him, then the hype is real...because in my book, you have to be a real good fighter to beat Brook.

If Brook wins, credit to him. Spence looks like a guy who is really talented and has the tools to go far. It would be a very solid win for Brook.

Very well said, I hope for a scenario in which even the loser comes out with credit because of the performance they gave.

Or maybe they see choose to look at what he has actually done rather than believe the hype. I'm not even a Brook fan but it's ridiculous what some of the Spence fanboys have been saying about Brook running scared and generally discrediting what Brook has done but at the same time rave about what Spence has done.
