So Canelo who hasn't fought more than twice a year in years is going to fight Cotto three months after a war with GGG? Something smells fishy man.

Didnt Canelo and Cotto TOGETHER do less than 1 million? Didnt Canelo vs Smith do 300 K on Mexican Independece day? They only did over 1 million thanks to Mayweather, they havent done it by themself or together with each other.

            Canelo/Cotto could do 700-800k +

we will have a better handle on Golovkin's drawing power after the Jacobs fight, but if they sell less than 200k no way could you speculate that Golovkin > Cotto

I agree that there will be more anticipation among hardcore fans for Canelo/Golovkin, but they are not responsible for most of the ticket sales..... Golovkin/Jacobs would need to sell 300-400k+ for that kind of speculation to be realistic

also..... Cotto is realistic, Golovkin is not..... Cotto would have likely taken that 15mil..... Cotto is a far better business decision for Canelo..... I am 100% positive that Golovkin will understand, especially considering the fact that he thought it was a better business decision to wait for Canelo to make him a better offer
I dont see Canelo persuing a rematch all last year. You know Cotto is bigger Diva than Canelo and GGG. Not many people are asking for a rematch the same way not mamy are asking for May vs Pac 2. Many fans know who GGG is after Canelo brought him into the ring to give him his belt.

I think GGG wants percentage not a flat offer. If the fight doesnt do good he will get less than 15 million, if the fight is successful he will do more than 15 miilion. Let the market decide his value.

Honestly, I like Cotto and believe he can win against Canelo if Canelo doesn't gain the huge weight advantage which is out of the question. I feel that played a huge role in their first fight and gave a huge edge to Canelo. Without the weight advantage and they are on even terms, Miguel is overall the better fighter, without a doubt.

Canelo can make arguably more money by getting the majority of the pie against those guys than giving GGG what his team and delusional fans think he is worth.
Leverage is all about who has the better options, its clear who has the better options and who doesn't.

fair call, some good points there

I am not interested in that fight either

the only thing I disagree with is that Cotto is a bigger diva than Golovkin..... Cotto has succeeded in making plenty of big fights, Golovkin has failed to make any..... Cotto's demands place him in a better bargaining position, Golovkin's demands kill the fight
