He does, because Canelo wants to play a top boxing star and keep avoiding GGG saying "look, I am fighting stars like Cotto only".Comment

I'm sure that's not even in consideration. Lara brings high risk, no reward, no audience. Cotto doesn't (and shouldn't) take those fights at this point in his career. Kirkland was a weak choice for Cotto, but at least it would have been an exciting fight. Cotto v. Lara would be a real stinker and a crappy way for Cotto to wind down his career.Comment

I doubt Otto rehydrates to even 165. He probably comes in upper 150's. maybe 160. Dude isn't even 5'7''. Maybe with shoes on.Cotto will make his highest payday besides if mayweather came out. But fight night he is outweighed 185 to 165 worth it for $ only not a fair fight. Cotto will have rounds where he outboxes and stings canella but canella is just too big he can handle cotto's power he will have 20lbs on him fight night super middle vs almost cruiser. Cotto might do a little better than last time but canella 7-5 easy ballpark pick.
Canelo is all of 5'9'' with a beefy mass.
I doubt he blows up to 185, though... Nobody is gaining 30 pounds in a day - I'd love to see that feat.
Canelo is probably coming in around 173. Still a good 12-15 pounds.
The most gain I've ever seen is Clottey - who blew up to 170 from 147 (against Corrales). This was televised on Showtime's unofficial weights.Comment
