Dont even take this thread serously, its a Morales fan, who posted this right after I said Morales sucks, and that Guzman would beat him. Next thing you know he makes a thread. Overrated or not, Cotto is still kicking ass

The refs have not stopped the fight many times for Cotto, his opponents have, most have quit.

Torres was a Count out not at TKO it was a KO, Branco quit, Ceballos quit, Corley was visibly scared and not doing anything but taking a beating in a round that he was knocked down then took a knee(that stoppage was a little premature), Sosa was a very impressive TKO, Abdulaev quit, Bailey quit in a brutal beating, Pinto was brutally beaten(I feared for his life), Bazan lost badly, His performance against Maussa was extremely dominant and impressive.

Emmanuel Steward said that he has never seen a boxer that makes so many opponents quit because of the cumulative beating that someone gives them.

What more do you want?

I don't think it's fair IMO to say Taylor's overrated, I'm not a fan but to take on a tough and prideful MW king in Hopkins and win and because he beat a legene PPL bashed him saying he robbed Hopkins. He said I have to train hard and will for a REMATCH like other's but then did and won. He didn't bask in his victory but set up a fight with Winky who is 2 on P4P lists and a tough fight especially for someone who is considered on the up and up. Other fighter's like (hatton) he takes on a fighter with a difficult style but on nobody's P4P list and we make excuses for him. Bottom line he's got the talent and I'm not a fan but do respect ppl like him who take the tough fight's .He's the modern day Holmes he beat a popular legend (Ali, Hopkins) and because of it is always ridiculed. Plus he gave a rematch, doesn't sound overrated to me.

ok your right about that, he will be 26 come fight time with castillo, but about holding the wbo belt, that thing is so lightly regarded, i dont even consider the wbo to be a real sanctioning body. you might be right about Cotto but im my opinion, he has no chin, and, sorry to say this dude, will get knocked out when he finally fights an elite fighter

yeah i like that about him, i hope he succeeds, but i just dont think hes that good, we'll find out when he fights Winky
