Cotto is most overrated fighter, followed by Tarver

Most overrated and underrated boxers in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

    Overrated
    1. Miguel Cotto
    2. Antonio Tarver
    3. Jermain Taylor
    4. Joan Guzman
    5. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr

    Underrated
    1. Antonio Margarito
    2. Edner Cherry
    3. Acelino Freitas
    4. Felix Sturm
    5. Luis Collazo

I feel very strongly that Miguel Cotto will not face a top caliber apponent until 2007, which will not be an apponent known for his punching power. The moment he faces a real puncher I believe he will be knocked out, and badly.

Antonio Tarver will never face a top caliber apponent again for the remainder of his mediocre career. Jermain Taylor I think was brought up very poorly as a boxer, and got lucky when Bernard Hopkins aged right before our eyes in his last 2 fights with him. Now Taylor finds himself in an uncomfortable situation in his defending his title against a top pound-4-pound fighter named Winky Wright. I like Taylor, I think hes a great guy and would be a peoples champion, I really hope he succeeds but I feel that Wright will embarrase him when they meet this summer because Taylor just does not have the skills to defeat Wright.

Joan Guzman will get knocked out before long judging by his last performance, and until JC Chavez Jr stopps with these 6 rounders, against bums, and proves me wrong by fighting and defeating top caliber fighters, I just cant take him seriously. Jc Chavez Sr is my hero, but im not gonna root for someone who has gone back and fourth with 4 rounders and 6 rounders just because he is his son. He needs to kick it up with 10 rounders against tough apponents. Enjoy.

Joan Guzman has huge amounts of talent, he has hand speed similar to sugar ray, but he's not professional by any means.

Edner Cherry was a strange pick in the underateds i think, but agreed with most of it. PBF probably deserves to go somewhere in that first list but thats another arguement for another day.

i think margirito is underrated on the grand scheme, but severly overrated on these boards.

I think Cotto is overrated by some as well. Im impressed THAT he wins the fights he does the way he does, but HOW he wins his fights arent that impressive. IMO, anyways.

Holy ****. I think you just contradicted yourself like 9 times in a single sentence.

You're impressed he wins the fights the WAY he does, but you aren't impressed with HOW he wins the fights? I need some clearification, because those two sound like the same thing to me... because isn't how you do something the same as the way you do something?

                  please explain im so confused.

it means.....he likes miguels ability to turn a ring into a wild west shootout to win but getting tagged and almost going out is not the way he'd like to see the man win

                    am i right pbf?

cotto has two things....hes either got trinidad or vargas syndrom

vargas while in trouble will just keep ****ing back and not tie up or anything which is what has lead to his downword spiral

trinidad although is able to get rocked and knocked down getting back up to go for the kill is what made him a legend

cotto is gonna have to either gain more killer instinct if he wants to be a trinidad
or learn to tie up if he dosnt have the firepower to be a great comeback fighter
