What about Tank vs. Gamboa? Gamboa has some need with TMT, so that could be a storyline.

Davis isn't at Lomachenko's level. It is ok to admit that he isn't ready. However, if Loma stays at 130 and gets his hands on 3 belts and Davis still has the other, then it is time to fight regardless of how young he is.

this is why the UFC is ****ting on boxing.. Davis would be thrown in a ring with Lomachenko right away if this sport was ran like that. .and if he loses but manages to make it competitive, a rematch right away. but this is boxing so let the marinating begin.

"he's not ready for Loma." when will he be ready then? two, three years?

boxing fans constantly demand matchups and are constantly told to wait and be patient, UFC doesn't have that problem. but people remain fans because we love this sport that much.

He gets hit too much jose is not very good and was lighting him up landed over 110 punches on him and was busting his face up. What will guys like Linares or Mikey do to this kid at 135 if they land that many punches? Both are more skilled, faster hands and much more power[/QUOTE]

Jose lot him up? Lmao you just going off Compubox. Jose maybe hit him with maybe 5 good shots if that. You do know he's only 22 and will get better. Haven't hit the canvas yet so I say he's doing pretty good. Busting his face up? lmao man y'all are so funny on here when it comes to "certain" fighters

yes he knows what he is doing. he just told us. hes avoiding the best. why is that a good thing though? if he wasn't in cahoots with people running the networks his crap fights wouldn't be financed but the promoters got into the networks and now have a free piggy bank to raid. just like big business got into government.

although i agree with floyd, it is too soon for davis to start thinking in lomachenko, that mentality "be smart" "make the right moves" is what is ruining boxing

According to everyone but a Floyd nut hugger. Jose won a paper vacant belt didn't beat a champion for that belt then his first defense against cherry most felt he lost and cherry was robbed. Then make a few bogus defenses against bums. Was by far the lowest ranked title holder at his weight by every media outlet. A low top 10 ranked fighter at best who was exposed against cherry and and finally lost against the next decent fighter he faced. This kid won a belt but let's not pretend that Jose probably never deserved a belt in the first place politics got him a vacant belt and kept him the belt in the decision against cherry who ain't that good himself.

Mayweather after the fight:"I'm going to protect my fighter. The fighters come first, the sport comes second"

And he doesn't seem to get it that this attitude is why the sport is fucked in the States.
