Seems like a disastrous move. Lost tons of credibility, made way less money. Top rank treated him great, hard to tell why he wanted a worse promoter other than to avoid the GGG fight

Or refusing to offer more money to fight Saunders in a actual unification fight. He fighting Jacobs for the Jr version of a belt he already owns.

He's about money he just has idiot advisers that got him turning down career paydays left and right and can't make big fights. Fighting Jacobs when both him and Jacobs making less combined then Chavez just signed for. LMAO
But it's ok for Andre Ward to drag ggg up two weight classes? You can't sh it on one guy for doing it yet praise the other. So which one is it?

It may seem like a bad move, true. But, it wasn't.

With a rumored 47 million dollar offer on the table from Haymon, Arum countered with a 2 fight extension where JCC jr would make a minimum of 12 million and a max of 17 million.

When Chavez refused to sign the extension, Arum then offered him about 2 million for the one fight with Golovkin. JCC eventually fought Fonfara instead and got 2.5 million for that.

He is basically saying they both avoided and ducked GGG successfully and are happy about it.

GGG missed out on the opportunity..

15 mil was not enough for Gigi.

I thought you said those 40m never happened? Can you make up your mind?

He would have been done with that 1 fight extension by the time he fought Fonfara. So that's 12m for a heavy loss vs 2.5m for the same thing, just much less glory in getting stopped by a no name. You saw what happened to him next, fought 2 bums since, nobody watching

The 47 million was offered in April of 2014.

Arum claimed JCC was still under contract and tried to force the 2 fight extension. JCC declined and started his lay-off to run out the contract. By the time JCC DID sign with Haymon (with no more mention of any 40+ million) in Nov 2014, JCC and Arum were already in court (and of course so were Arum and Haymon).

There was no 12 million because JCC didn't want any more to do with Arum.

And I was correct about the WBA situation. No?
The WBA decided to mandate GGG vs Jacobs. What went on behind the scenes is anybody's guess.
