Chavez jr is a garbage fight for ggg...if it was canelo that posted that, then it would make more sense.

Hilarious. Backed out of a career payday fight with ggg and is proud of it. What a clown.

Chavez Jr really is the typical shithead rich kid. An enormous sense of entitlement and not a scrap of dignity.

... Golovkin didn't "prefer" fighting Daniel Jacobs, though. He and his camp never mentioned Jacobs' name, the only time Tom Loeffler even started mentioning Jacobs name was when it was clear that Jacobs was going to be named mandatory, K2 openly tried to see if Billy Joe Saunders was available for short money, and the negotiations for the Jacobs fight to even happen took over 3 months (and likely would've been longer, were it not for the WBA setting the bid date).

The Top Rank situation was Chavez Jr wanting to see his deal end with Bob, simple as that;when that was dealt with Chavez Jr had his own promotional company, so there was nothing barring K2 from calling to see about the fight.

As things currently stand, Canelo Promotions/Golden Boy Promotions have cut a deal with Chavez Jr for the May PPV, with the real likelihood that Alvarez-ChavezJr is the fight for both PPV dates.

You add that Alvarez can then look to another catchweight fight against Miguel Cotto, or even Billy Joe Saunders, and Golovkin, in not taking the deal offered, likely has seen his window for the fight pushed back another year.

Golovkin went on national TV and openly said that theonly way he'd fight Andre Ward would be @164lbs and a 50/50 split of the money.

Doubt that you'd ever acknowledge that, though.

Why not when Ward was at 168. that's a fair catchweight from the A side.

Ward is the one that walked away from negotiations. GGG was willing.

Ward turned it down. "NO CONCESSIONS!"
