Chavez jr exposes gg on instagram

He didn't duck GGG and you know it. His beef was with arum and his contract with top rank. Haymon made a power move to steal him away and arum only offered the ggg fight if he re-signed to top rank extending his contract owing more fights. Refused to ever fight again under top rank and held out a year to get out his contract to become a free agent. Once that happened ggg could of negotiated and made a deal with Chavez but they didnt. Now we can argue whether Chavez was dumb for listening to haymon to jump ship from top rank but the fight not happening years ago was because of feud with arum and top rank had nothing to do with ggg.Comment

It's a funny pic. But if GGG had signed to fight Jnr instead of Jacobs, people here, including you, would have been murdering him for it.
I remember you starting one thread saying that if GGG didn't demand that the WBA mandated a fight with Danny, he should be stripped of his title, ffs!Comment

Bigdunny, Bigjavi and a few others have it correct: JCC jr never ducked Lil g. He simply refused to re-up with Arum because Haymon was dangling 40 million at him.
The pic is funny and it reveals a truth that Lil g critics have been talking about for years.
If you never take the time needed to make the big fight and you are never willing to compromise as a B side to get the good fight then, guess what? You are never going to get the big fight.
You can't say you can take on anyone in 3 weight classes then balk at 155 lbs.
You can't say you'd fight one guy at 154 lbs but won't fight the guy he beat at 155.
You can't say you will fight this guy at 168 and that guy at 168, but when the best guy at 168 calls you out, you want a catchweight of 164 you know he'll never make without being drained- this when you yourself said no to the biggest fight you could possibly make for the same 4 lbs you contend you can lose comfortably.
You can't say 155 is about principle (not money) and sticking to the 160 lb limit, then turn around and drag a welterweight 13 pounds north of his natural weight because it's a good money fight.
This has to change or Lil g will miss out on plenty of makeable fights.Comment

Haymon gave that bum 40m to sign, to get destroyed by a gatekeeper and UD 2 bums to poor ratings and off TV?! The 40mil deal never happened, probably because Jr sat out a year to get out of his TR contract. It certainly explains why Jr wanted no part of Arum's extension. He did sign with Haymon tho.Last edited by koolkc107; 01-16-2017, 12:59 PM.Comment
