ou said brook was "phsyically stronger" than jacobs, which is just not true. brook looked like the welterweight he was. yes, he's a strong WW, but there are weight classes in boxing for a reason. brook was being physically moved about the ring when golovkin got to him, and he even got his eyesocket busted, which is a rare injury even in a sport where guys punch each other in the head.

People are overrating this fight because there is such a dearth of challengers at MW that people are craving for GGG to get a proper test. If MW was a half way decent division Jacobs wouldnt be a top 2-3 kind of guy.

I like it, and it will be great fun to watch because neither guy has a great defence, but Jacobs should be a heavy underdog here imo

just watch this fight after you watch a middleweight fight between big punchers. that is a welterweight in there.


in fact, a great fight to watch would be jacobs - pirog. watch jacobs stand up to some big shots from a very solid MW in jacobs. wobbled, but still there. then watch brook doing the same against a light punching, journeyman WW named carson jones. wobbled, but still there, against a welterweight. i mean heck, he had brook on the ropes for much of the second half of the fight.


another good fight to watch would be senchenko and brook. he was shaken pretty badly by a light punching welterweight with no notable knockouts other than ricky hatton's corpse.

Jacobs has faster hands and longer reach. GGG has better timing, accuracy, jab, power, chin, body punching, set-up, punch selection, stamina (at least in his prime he's 34 how so we'll see), and basically everything else. GGG should win unless he gets old overnight. He should probably win anyway even if he did.

you're usually an idiot, but you are spot on here. brook is at WW for a reason. it's because he's a WW. hits like a ww, strong as a www, takes punches like a WW. tough, big WW, but a WW. jacobs is not the most durable MW out there from the look of things, but he's got a huge advantage in size over brook and there's no reason to think brook is more durable unless you are british.
