TKO by ankle sprain.
If you were betting on this fight you couldn't overlook Jacobs getting dropped by Sergio 9 KOs Mora. It doesn't make anything definite but it's a cause for concern against a legit puncher like Golovkin.Comment

Well i was obviously talking about physical toughness rather than mental.i don't agree with this at all. you surely can't believe that a welterweight is stronger than a robust, 6'1" middleweight with knockout power at the weight.
also, jacobs not having a chin and not being tough are different things. jacobs got back up and won the fight. he also beat spinal cancer to get back to being a professional athlete. jacobs could not walk before he went for surgery. he had serious, life trheatening cancer that put his career at risk.
also, he took some shots against pirog prior to the knockout that would send a soft fighter home. he's also quite aggressive, which, given his handspeed, is a sign of a fighter that is not complacent with passive boxing. lots of the aggressive guys you see at the top are aggressive because they have to be. short guys, slow guys, guys without boxing skills, etc.
Plenty of fighters throughout history have been tougher than men bigger than them. So many its not even worth mentioning really. Brook took some heavy shots over the 5 rnds with GGG, shots that I dont think Jacobs would take.
Jacobs has a better chance of winning than Brook though because he at least has the height, speed and reach to conceivably keep it long and he can punch a bit. He isnt going to beat GGG though.Comment

Don't talk history....then say something ****** like that.Comment

A: Getting dropped by Donaire, one of the hardest punchers p4p of his generation =/= getting dropped by Sergio Mora.
B: If you read the thread i said that Jacobs doesnt have the boxing ability to make up for the fact that he doesnt take a punch well. Rigondeaux did.Comment

Rigo was dropped by another fighter besides Donaire.
Don't start playing dumb
That other guy isn't nearly as good as Mora.Comment

He very likely isnt going to beat GGG then.
Hows that?
People are overrating this fight because there is such a dearth of challengers at MW that people are craving for GGG to get a proper test. If MW was a half way decent division Jacobs wouldnt be a top 2-3 kind of guy.
I like it, and it will be great fun to watch because neither guy has a great defence, but Jacobs should be a heavy underdog here imoComment

what?
ou said brook was "phsyically stronger" than jacobs, which is just not true. brook looked like the welterweight he was. yes, he's a strong WW, but there are weight classes in boxing for a reason. brook was being physically moved about the ring when golovkin got to him, and he even got his eyesocket busted, which is a rare injury even in a sport where guys punch each other in the head.Comment
