But, I think One Time has been in with bigger, tougher, and harder hitting opponents than most of Swift's matches.

I think that is why you have to favor Thurman.

Keith has been hit by what Danny can dish; but there is no way to know how Danny will react to Thurman's power.
But you saying it as if Danny is still fighting at 140. DSG can walk into the ring at 160 also. This is the reason why he took his time to get accustomed to the division before going after the big dogs.

DSG has put it on the line many times before and no how to play his role in this fight. If one time come in believing that someone is scared, then it's going to be a long night for him

Took a while for Garcia to accept the Matthysse fight. He wanted $2 million. Schaefer almost gave up and could only offer $1 mil. They finally settled with $1.5 mil. It was supposed to be a separate card, but Schaefer had his light-bulb moment and just added it in the Mayweather/Canelo undercards just to do away with all the crap he had to deal with with the Garcia father and son team. So no, it wasn't a cakewalk making the Matthysse/Garcia fight happen.

That's why I'm rooting for Thurman, who I never heard whined and barked when he was offered Porter. Thurman got $1.4M and Porter got $1M.

garcia had one of the tougher resumes in boxing until he went full haymon. he might have forgotten what it was like, but to say that he's less tested than keith thurman, whose only reasonable claim agasint garcia's opponents is that they were not welterweights, is way off.

khan, peterson, matthysse, these guys were at or around the top of the division. danny was the lineal 140 lb titleholder FFS. that's the champion. he and khan boxed for a vacant lineage at 1 and 2 and danny destroyed him.

It has nothing to do with being scared, which I am sure neither fighter is.

One man has been hit with hard shots by bigger men, and one guy hasn't.

And the guy that hasn't may have been shook by a couple of non-punchers (Herrera, Peterson) at the lower weight.

This is a cause for concern.

Matthysee hits harder than anyone Thurman has fought.

Khan is faster than anyone Thurman has fought.

Peterson has a better inside game than anyone Thurman has fought except arguably Porter.

Danny is way more tested than Thurman.

Matthysee hits hard for a 140 lber no doubt.
But, I am not sure how hard he hits when measured against true big welterweights. There are guys Thurman has fought who may hit harder- Diego Chavez comes to mind.

Porter's inside game is much better than Lamont's.

Khan may indeed be faster than anyone Keith has fought, but Thurman is faster AND more powerful than Danny. I think you should be concerned about that more than Amir getting caught with an eyes closed hook that Thurman will surely avoid or block.

And last but not least, their performance vs a common opponent may speak volumes.

Thurman had a pretty easy time (even tho he faded a little late) vs Guerrero. Although Danny did win a clear decision vs Ghost, their fight was much closer, both on the scorecards and to the naked eye.

Porter is sloppy compared to Peterson.

Who has Chaves KOd that makes him a huge puncher? He couldn't hurt a fat out of shape Rios or Bradley who has been dropped multiple times.

Porter is sloppy compared to Peterson.

Thurman has been caught several times and leaves him self open a lot Danny will land plenty of left hooks.

Styles make fights Guerrero had more success because Danny fought him off the back foot, against Thurman he wasn't the aggressor. Danny also fought Guerrero in his hometown the crowd made it seem like Guerrero had more success than he really did.

Rios was not out of shape vs Chavez, has one of the best chins ever in those weightclasses and was using illegal tactics more than Diego was.

Call Porter sloppy if you like, but there is no comparison inside. Shawn is on a completely different and higher level.

Danny may indeed land that hook, but I am not certain it will mean anything. And throwing that punch will leave him open to HELL coming back.

Don't say I didn't tell you so here first.

                      Thurman by early stoppage.
