I'm still wondering two things after this fight:
      1) what will the haters say when Garcia kicks keefs ass
      2) what will the haters say when Garcia kicks keefs ass???

Mr. Porter don't do this to your son. Pit him against Berto and see if he still has it. The "it."

As for the article Matthysse is a more gruelling opponrnt than Porter.
Except Danny laced Matthysse in the eye early on and it wasn't the same Matthysse anymore. That eye injury basically ruined his whole career really, when you look at it. Because that same eye is what made him quit vs Postol too when he was winning the fight and putting so much damage on Postol that Postol had nothing left vs Crawford.

If Danny had faced a healthy Matthysse for 12 rounds, and still won, then I'd give him much more of a shot vs Thurman. But he fought the worst Matthysse we've ever seen after that 4th round, and still didn't look great. And who else has Danny beaten? Khan was the best CLEAN win since it didn't have an eye injury on a foul like Matthysse, but everyone knows Khan is chinny. Who else? Peterson Danny barely beat, and Peterson doesn't a top win... ever? At least not recently. Herrera is also smaller, slower, and less powerful than Thurman, but still gave Danny a ton of trouble.

We'll see what happens. If Danny can clip Thurman to the liver or the chin with his left hook, anything can happen in boxing. But puncher's chance aside this is the easiest "big fight" to pick all year. Danny is not going to outbox or outpoint, or even outgun Thurman over an extended period. His one chance is to outgun Thurman with a few perfect shots that either end the fight or take the fight out of Thurman or fatigue him. But as long as both have energy in the tank and Thurman doesn't get caught with the hail mary punch, Thurman is better in every area and will win.

Stop it. DSG hit the eye and it swelled up. And then he used it for target practice. The point is that DSG took some heavy shots in the fight and was still standing on his feet, was never hurt, and was able to raise his hands at the end.

Keith will lose and then fall off the face of the earth for a while. I do like the fact that he does dare to be great though.

The truth is that, Matthysse aside, Danny hasn't had the same trouble with the bulls as he had with the matadors. His chin is solid, that's for certain. And he'll make guys pay for rushing in.

I think Bradley and Brook would be his biggest challenges at 147 on that basis. Both are very comfortable going backwards. If Peterson could imitate a boxer and drop a razor close decision, then for sure Bradley could beat him. I would definitely pick Brook to beat him.

Both guys are battle-tested, Thurman knows what it's like to be under pressure, he knows what he's like to be hurt and what it takes to survive, he knows what it's like to lose a round or a few rounds then come back strong, these all show you he's mentally strong.

Danny knows what it's like to be the underdog, to beat the odds. I always look back at Matthysse knocking his mouthpiece halfway across the arena and wonder how the **** he stayed standing. The guy can bite down and fight when the going gets tough.

Garcia resume more impressive than Thurman's

I think Thurman is going to have a whole lot of problems against Garcia than people realize and really I'm leaning toward Garcia to beat Thurman. Garcia has beaten, Khan, Judah, Mattheysee, Guerroro, Morales who by the way gave Maidana all kinds of problems after fighting Garcia. And a list of other solid fighters.
