This. Ain't no casuals looking for grainy ass streams. Lmao at the thought that a casual would even for a second consider the time & effort to look for a stream, and then find it, and then stay at home on a Saturday night to watch said stream.

Only the most hardcore of hardcore boxing fans are willing to do that ****.

How many competitive fights did he have on paper? Only 3 and those were it.

His haters weren't paying $60 to watch him fight Guerrero and Maidana and Berto, and Ortiz.

They streamed those fights. Not all of them. Some of them paid.

But to act like Mayweather's PPVs were just being driven by his haters is laughable and false.
The DLH, Canelo, and Pacquiao fights definitely brought out a lot more haters, but that doesn't mean a significant amount weren't already paying for his other fights just to see him hopefully lose. Just because he was a favorite in many fights doesn't mean they wouldn't root for his opponent to beat him regardless. Floyd marketed himself as a villain for so many years for a reason.

The narrative being pushed out was that Mayweather was the most hated guy in boxing. That just wasn't true when you looked at his PPV numbers.

Why pay $60 for someone you dislike when you can stream the fight instead? I'm sure his haters paid for the competitive fights, but you can't convince that so many people would put up that much money for someone they disliked when they could've just streamed the fight.

People underestimated that Mayweather had a lot of fans and was one of the most popular fighters in the sports history. Regardless of what people like Jeff Mayweather think.

No just no. Yeah that is an element, the fact that he's entertaining but he's far from the most entertaining MA fighter there has ever been. His numbers are due t the people who want to see hi fail. Conor is basically the Floyd Mayweather of the UFC. Look at any MMA age that is not a Conor fan page and you'll see that most of the comments about him are negative.

lol Yet another moronic post from you. You just can't stop cranking 'em out.

He has his haters - name me a celebrity that doesn't - but he is far more universally beloved than he is hated. Pretty much the opposite of Mayweather, who can't even go to basketball games without getting booed. Crowds just about everywhere Conor goes cheer for him, not poor little Floyd, though.

I assure you that nearly any MMA page you want to direct me towards, even that cesspool of a forum known as Sherdog, will have more supporters than they will detractors... Not that it matters, the internet is where the majority of angry and negative people come to vent anyway, it just doesn't mean anything.

Name me one other boxer who was hated and universally criticized as Mayweather was? I'll wait.

You assume because he sold a lot of PPVs, he couldn't have been disliked that much. Why? People are usually just as invested in the things they dislike/hate as they are the things they love. And Floyd marketed himself that way for years. He talked about it all the time.

As for why they didn't stream the fights, probably because they were used to just ordering and watching fights on TV in the traditional way instead of sitting at a computer doing so. This is especially true if they had a bunch of people over watching the fight with them, like folks often do. Ain't no large group of people gonna gather around a damn computer for a fight lol.

Ok where is your proof that he is far more universally loved? Stop making statements out of your ass just because you can. Did you know Conor had to hire bodyguards because he was getting constant death threats in his own hometown?? Did you know they have to keep in a separate room from the other fighters before press conferences?
