It can't be that difficult! GGG is clearly the A-side in this fight. Jacobs is asking for what he thinks he deserves($2-3 million). Jacobs received $1.5 mil against Quillin but that was during the time Haymon was throwing away money. The purse bid split is 75%-25% in favor of GGG. Everyone involve clearly knows this fight is only worth $4 million at the most. Haymon is not going to bid $5-10 million knowing 75% will go to GGG. In order for Jacobs to get that $2-3 million, Haymon will have to bid closer to the $10 mil mark. The question K2/Loeffler needs to answer, is Team GGG willing to give up 10%-15% of there purse to accommodate Jacobs request? I don't see that happening & my gut feeling tells me Jacobs will end up giving up his secondary title & not except the 25% once it goes to a purse bid. Jacobs really brings nothing to the table as far as revenue so the market will dictate & show this fight is worth maybe $4.5 million at the most. K2 is not worried about a purse bid because there guy is getting 75%. Loeffler is hoping Haymon over bids for this fight so they don't have to spend any money while there guy gets the loin share.

thats not entirely true. Haymon could cut a side deal with Jacobs where if say Haymon won the bid for $5 million, which would be split $3.75 million to GGG and $1.25 million to Jacobs, Haymon could just give Jacobs another million on the side to take the fight. It can't be that difficult! Of course legally he would not be obligated to do that, but if thats what it took to make the fight he certainly could do that if he wanted to.Comment

Jacobs is in a tough situation! Purse bids means your share will be 25%! The market shows this fight is worth $4 million maybe $4.5 million. Jacobs wants $2-3 million. It just doesn't add up for Jacobs. GGG has been averaging $2-3 million per fight lately. He received over $5 mil for the Brook fight. Jacobs received $1.5 for the Quillin fight but i don't see Jacobs getting any big fights if he passes over this one. He won't get Canelo, Saunders, Eubanks Jr, Lemiuex, etc. Those guys know there's no money behind a Jacobs fight. I don't see Jacobs moving up & there's a slight chance a top 154lb fighter moving up but who knows! Jacobs did a interview in which he stated, "I can fight two Quillin & make good money". Well, it looks like he may have to go the Quillin route AGAIN! It won't surprise me if he does, don't forget, he fought Mora twice! With all that said, I hope the fight gets made between GGG/Jacobs.Comment

Good point! That could be a possibility! Is it a chance Team Haymon is willing to take? GGG would get close to $4 mil & Jacobs would get close to $2.5 mil. I really want to see this fight even though I believe GGG will win by KO. Is the trust between Team Jacobs & Haymon 100%. This is a business & I'm not sure I would do that if it's not on the contract. It would be a way to get around paying taxes on that $1 million. Lol!thats not entirely true. Like you would expect him to say Jacobs is ducking when he's in the middle of negotiations to make the fight?
That's not his style.
We know Jacobs is ducking because he had a fight on december and refused 1.7+ millions (according to you) when he's just a mandatory challenger with no drawing power. Then all of the sudden december was too soon. Crazy shit.Comment
