Froch is not a active fighter...he is retired. Talking about anybody negative is irrelevant. He has no place or purpose. Unless he is coming out of retirement.Comment

With these latest tweets and sound bites Froch has achieved something he never could as an active fighter - he has entered the P4P top 5 .... in the category of 'Most annoying Retired Fighter'
You become an overwhelming favourite based on past performances and who you are fighting.
Does anybody talk about Kessler and Bute in awed tones? They were good but not great at the end of the day.
Ask yourself why Golovkin is an absolute favourite to beat fighters like Murray, and no doubt Jacobs if it ever gets made. Isn't it because he has absolutely dominated similar level fighters in the past?
Tell me all the fights where Golovkin would be a huge underdog - they only exist at LHW. That says something. At SMW he would probably be evens or slight underdog against Jack/DeGale and Ramirez. Probably evens with Groves.
I don't see Team Golovkin trying to coax Froch to fight. It's more a case of put up or shut up.
How about a fighter that's not two weight divisions below him? (Brook)
I see nothing but Carl retaliating to what team GGG are trying to do, which is set up another favourable fight.
End of the day, Macklin and Murray are his best wins. That doesn't come close to the quality of opponent Froch faced. Twist it whichever way you want, Brook is probably the most skilled fighter he faced and he's 147lb'er. If GGG faced a MW version of Brook I see him being dominated.Comment

Froch was just a good fighter. You can bring up his resume (a good one, not a great one) all you want, but Golovkin is clearly in a different league.Comment

I feel like I've seen this before, it seems like it's just a rinse and repeat with GGG detractors and his fans.
Anyone with common sense knows GGG has tried to face the best fighters available, I would only exclude Ward but the circumstances were messy so I give him a pass, and Froch himself opted for retirement over GGG at a time where he only spoke highly of him.
I say sour g****s on Froch's part because he misses the attention GGG is getting.Comment

How about Ward at 168 for a start.

Maybe they are trying to sound out Froch, seeming as it would be a money fight in the UK. But I see it more as put up or shut-up. I guess Froch is answering questions about Golovkin but he could just say "no comment" or "I'm retired, that's it" instead he comes across as bitter that other ACTIVE fighters are in the limelight. And it's not just Golovkin - ask him about DeGale and he sounds the same.
I don't know how Macklin is a best win - I'd have Stevens and Lemieux as better wins than Macklin.
A MW Kell Brook - didn't he come in heavier than Brook? Apart from that, where is this mythical figure? Heavier fighters are generally slower. You could make a case that a HW Ward would dominate current HWs - but again, where is this mythical figure?Comment

you guys sound like morons trynna defend ggg in here challenging froch resume. this dude has beaten more champs than golovkin has fought and did it in less fights. we all know theres guys out there that wont fight golovkin, but giving him credit for that is ******ed. standards are almost always placed a guy not finding a challenge in his own weight class to move to another. thats always been a norm for centuries in boxing. thats why some of the ATGs in the sport either have multiple weight class belts, or if theyve stayed in a division their whole careers, have OTHER ATGs to their resume.Comment

Ward has already said it's a struggle to make 175 and he can't make 168 anymore. Yes he would be a heavy underdog against Ward at this point - but at what weight? 172? 173? Of course he would be an underdog against #4# no. 2 fighter at 2 weight classes above.
