What real incentive does Showtime have paying an outrageous offer for Golovkin/Jacobs, when the most likely outcome is Golovkin comes on Showtime, destroys Jacobs, then goes back to HBO? Showtime's not going to pay a boat load of money to promote an HBO fighter. This fight is dead. Jacobs and Haymon never wanted it. Haymon got Golovkin off his December date and put Charlo/J-Rock on there instead, it was all just a game. Jacobs is going to vacate just like Quillin did.
But like you said earlier, Haymon's investment fund is drying up. Unless he has something in mind at 168, it looks like Jacobs has only 2 options: Take his shot at GGG, and if he loses, go back to fighting on PBC for $500K purses, with $2million in the bank. Or turn his back on the GGG fight and go back to the $500K purses immediately. Seems like a no brainer to me.

GGG fans be like "he was forced to fight Brook, Eubank Jr pulled out and Golovkin was already going to England so he was coerced into fighting brook! he would never have fought brook if it was up to GGG!"

Brook actually outweighed GGG in the ring...and the fight was only made after Eubank wimped out by having his Dad make outrageous demands

Jacobs has been the issue all the time and I don't understand why people don't want to admit it.

GGG just fought a guy who walked into the ring heavier than he was on fight night. Canelo hasn't done that since he was 16 yo, ffs.

GGG fighting undefeated Brook was not as lame as Canelo fighting a twice previously ko'd chinny Khan.

telling it like it is? So just to be clear, you're reinforcing the lie that GGG was forced into fighting Brook? For the record?
