WBA won't strip GGG, then they'd be left with Jacobs. lol Not a good trade for them. They need to cut Jacobs loose asap and get a new mandatory to step up who will be willing to make the fight happen. Lara would be a great substitute but I don't think that will happen for various reasons.

Haymon has 100s of fighters you fool. K2 has 3. And 1 of those is 40.

He didn't ask for an extension to get a deal done...he did it to buy time and find another easy fight for Gigi.

He would have needed to get an exemption from the WBA if they intended to fight someone else without sacrificing the strap.

You deserve to make what based on what you're able to pull in. Jacobs' doesn't pull much in. His marquee fight vs Quillin in their hometown drew just over 8k and was viewed by around 400k on tv, that's ****ty... His rematch with Mora had about 6k people present and most were there b/c of the undercard fight, and that had less than 500k on free tv.

K2 originally offered him $1.5mill and he called that chump change. $1.5 mill is not chump change for a guy who draws those kind of number in his last two fights. You're right he wants excessive money b/c of the high risk of losing, but over $2mill? That's like a girl who's a 7, acting like she's a 10.

60/40 or 35/65 is fair. Anything less is ridiculous. This is the most 'live' opponent GGG has faced so far. And he should be paid accordingly.

You guys hype Golovkins opponents all the time. But what you don't realize is there are plenty of people that can beat Golovkin's opponents besides Gennady Golovkin. Just look at how Stevens and Lemieux looked recently.

You guys even hyped BJS when the truth of the matter is sure Golovkin can beat BJS; but guess what? So can Daniel Jacobs.

He is being paid accordingly. His fear factor doesn't get to inflate his price though. How much do you think this fight is actually worth? Some say at best $6mill. If they offered Jacobs $2mill, that's already 33%, that's more than he'll ever see again in his career.

The hedge fund is drying up and Haymon fighters will soon have to fight at their market value again. Jacobs made $550k to fight Mora the first time, and only $100k to win his title vs Fletcher. This isn't some guy with better options on the horizon. This is his opportunity to shine and getting paid $2mill is legit money, especially for someone like him.

It looks like Jacobs side will try and win the purse bid and force GGG to fight off of HBO or drop the belt since they will not give him the purse split he wants. I wonder if this means they will also try and change the venue from MSG on 3/18 as well.

I can't get mad that Jacobs is trying to get the best deal possible (GGG fans will get mad but when GGG does this with Canelo they will suddenly be ok with tactics like this) but I think he and his team could be more reasonable with the split they will accept. 33-35% seems fair and reasonable to me.
