Just a few months ago they were saying Lomachenko would duck the Salido rematch. And that Salido would bring him to hell again. Now the same people say the rematch is a waste of time. What the hell happened?

Salido is beyond shot... Arum is pure evil.

For sure, hard to imagine Salido, at his age, didn't degrade after those three back-to-back slugfests. The punch volume in each was such that he took the number of punches most boxers would take twice as many fights to rack up.

But Loma has priors on this in his amateur days, as in wanting to avenge losses (well, ok, avenge the ONE loss), so his interest not hard to understand.

Its also a fight a lot of people want to see because of the first one, so, biznis and all that.

Arum's just a businessman, no more evil than the rest (except Trump of course. I'll leave it to your opinion as to whether Trump is less evil or more evil).

Does Bob Arum have a problem with the WBC, IBF, WBA? He keep blocking his guys from unification

jhonny gonzalez is shot..he's finally retired i think and was losing aftr the russell fight.johnny was never a real champ mares was just chinny enough to get kfto...
johnny gonz is no more than the guy that ko'd khan...gosh i cant think of his name
jhonny just fougth a couple months ago and won. he definitely is past his prime though. He is a two division champion and wayyyyy better than breidis prescott who you are referencing and has way more quality wins than prescott.

Loma got the shot because of the closeness of the fight (besides the overweight and lowblows many thought loma won) and fought russell. Russell is a good fighter. He would beat Selby, and would be compettive with Valdez and Frampton but those fights are 50-50 imo.

lets cut to the chase...u really think some unknown under promoted fighter Somali would have got a 2nd shot just bc he lost close?

the weight is not an issue he could have easily just not accepted the fight...then i would understand giving him the shot again..but him going ahead with it means he had 2 shots and most ppl get 1.

russell is good, but he was a prospect fightin bums and never better their level..i cant respect that

Yeah but he's a special talent as we saw vs Russell and since, not a random Somali. These people know boxing and you don't. It was also a massive risk to fight Grj on a Haymon card, could have ended his career with a 1-2 record.
