If the fight is going to get made, they'll be saying "no point in this fight, Lomachenko shouldn't lost to Salido in the first place"
If the fight is not going to get made, they'll say "he needs to avenge his loos, he got dominated by fat old bum"

By the way, Lomachenko completely changed his style now, it's obvious when you watch his pro debut and Salido fight, then Walters/Martinez fights after that so it's going to be interesting. His offense is way more calculated now

Good post and you're dead-on, but I feel like short, looping hooks, particularly to the body, are an inherent vulnerability in Loma's defence, so I expect Salido to once again prove tougher than Loma's other opponents. The main difference will be Loma's size and incisiveness now, so it's possible that Salido won't be able to get close enough to test Loma's defence this time

Loma hasn't fought anybody like Salido since that fight, Loma is a much better fighter and favored to win a wide decision or even stop Salido, but everybody is favored to beat Salido and things don't always work like that with him, Siri finds a way to take it to his oponnents and always get his punches thru, I very much doubt that Arum makes this fight, Loma would love to make it but Arum has a lot at risk if Loma loses or looks bad.

Salido was around 10 lbs heavier that Loma... not a big deal. Loma didn't have to take the fight after Salido didn't make weight. As Good as Loma is, weight shouldn't matter. Weight wasn't a problem for FLoyd or Manny when they were getting outweighed. Plenty of fighters have a weight advantage... Canelo, Crawford, Peterson, Porter and so on.

Damn, I thought I was alone in this one. Where have you been, man? I had a few debates about this and why I feel this way. I got jumped and needed some backup. Lol

I thought you was my boy, yo.

of course loma was supposed to be in it. He lost a disputed split decision to an overweight fighter in his 2nd pro fight. Russell was the favorite going into the fight. Russell proved what he can do vs jhonny Gonzalez.

Just on the weight side, their first fight was at 126. Salido came in at 128+. Weights on fight night were Loma 136, Salido 147.

Loma Walters fight was at 130, Loma weight on fight night was 137.

My expectation for a rematch would be that Loma maintain the 137, and Salido would make 130 this time, but similarly weight about 147 on the night.

Weight difference in a rematch won't be much different !

Doesn't tell the whole story though. I suspect Loma is a stronger 137 without having to dehydrate that 4 pounds then put it back again. But similarly, Salido won't have to kill himself as much as he did last time either.
