DAMNNNN, I'd love to see see a Gamboa-Loma fight. Hadn't even thought about that matchup.

      oh, of course.....

      1) they both took risks
      2) they both fought the best
      3) they both beat great fighters

that simply does not apply to Golovkin, he is not willing to take any kind of risk with his career, as proven by.....
      a) his resume - and Sanchez just admitted that Gennady selects his opponents..... as if anyone needed confirmation of that
      b) Sanchez' admission that GGG does not care about legacy
      c) Sanchez' admission that Golovkin will not take a fight unless it happens on his terms
      d) the low-ball offers made to Jacobs/Saunders

Golovkin is fighting in a horribly weak middleweight era..... that is not necessarily his fault, but he will not lift a finger to fight the best in his division..... and despite mentioning 168 and even 175, Golovkin refuses to move up in weight to challenge himself

Golovkin ran around for FOUR YEARS stating that he would fight "anyone from 154-168", specifically mentioning Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154..... but then, he killed BOTH of those fights over the weight

..... he also totally refused to negotiate on the weight with lil old 153lb Cotto

Hagler and Monzon did not run around talking shht for FOUR YEARS and then go AWOL

There's better fights that could be made though.
Better fights? That could be argued, sure.

That doesn't make this a bad fight though.

I think the general ideology that "in the rematch the boxer with the higher ring IQ will adjust and dominate" doesn't apply here. Lomachenko for as good, as gifted as he is, still isn't that far removed from the first fight, and he wasn't beaten so much from a technical standpoint as much as a battle of will, heart, and the hustle a veteran has with his tricks and mind games. I think this is still a very intriguing fight. I favor Lomachenko, for what I consider obvious reasons, but I consider Salido a very live dog here, and wouldn't be surprised at all if he found a way to win again. Lomachenko might try to keep him outside in the beginning but I see a war breaking out early and it being a firefight.

Loma fights 3 times in 2017, takes out Salido, if he's good enough and finishes the year with a fight at 135. Let's go!

not at all. Gary is a good fighter. You just proved your argument was weak by saying Gary is too small for loma because he is 3" taller. I bet Gary walks around heavier than the 139 loma walks around at too

loma fights either small garry russels, shot martinez, or year lay off walters, or nonfactors since the salido loss

he's fast tracked..but it's like a bmx bike with training wheels on it purchased by bob arum..

they'll find a way to say salido wants top much money..
Training wheels?! Wtf is this Chickenson fanboy talking about? Have you ever heard of a guy with a better 8 fight resume, idiot?

Russell can't make 122 dummy, he was complaining he was drained at 126. You got your excuses mixed up. Martinez had just won 12 of 24 rounds vs Salido in 2 fights back to back. And Walters was offered the same deal before his layoff, he just didn't like his chances. Can you get anything right?

People talking about Loma being spoon fed, lol, so salty.
Kudos to Loma, imo he is gonna destroy Salido this time and Siri knows it too. Imo Orlando is gonna miss the scales again and will try to find a DQ exit from the fight after couple of rounds. He is a warrior though, props to Siri.
