How did Lara get robbed in that fight???? I saw a slick, excellent technical boxer land almost the same amount of punches as the slow plodder AND had almost the same connect rate. Go look up Floyd Vs.Canelo compubox to see what a technical fighter should do to a slow plodder...

Did I think he won? Yes. Am I upset with the decision? No. I'm not like Kovalev fans. I can understand that close fights can be decided by disagreement on a round or two. Canelo did what he had to do and got the W.

Lara has no one to blame but himself. He was given every young fighter's dream fight and was content with playing a game of "one for you, two for me". He left Las Vegas with an L on his record and bored casual fans who have no desire to see him perform ever again.

Lesson learned. Don't take any single round for granted.
Well said, in a lot of ways you have hit the nail on the head. Lara fought on PPV and blew his chance to a degree.

Lara needs to make money by just frigging fighting, these guys fight once a year and expect to be making money? Get active fight 3 or 4 times in 2017. Cotto would be a mad fight by the way, and if you want GGG start fighting at 160!

What is it with Cuban fighters and their delusion about how much they're worth? Lara's a great fighter but skills alone don't make you some huge star that commands star paydays.

Lara is high-risk and low-reward, so GGG will probably NEVER fight Lara!
After all the constant GGG call outs on twitter, why hasn't Lara's team or manager contact Loeffler/ K2 about making this fight? There is also zero reports in the media if anyone from Lara's team contacting K2. Lara is the one using GGGs name, not the other way around. So again, if he so desperately wants to fight GGG, why hasn't his team tried contacting K2 about a possible fight? Easy- Lara is full of **** and never intended to fight him in the first place.

Beating Blanco would make him Jacobs' mandatory.
He could have easily fought Jacobs (same advisor, no promotional issues, easy to make fight) and if he won, would have been GGGs mandatory. But of course he didn't do that

Any wonder Lara is labelled boring though when being lined up against Trout, Rodriguez, Ishe Smith & now Yuri Foreman?

At least put him in with guys who come to fight like Hernandez, Angulo & so on where he was actually exciting

I like Lara though he often even bores me but fights like these are not doing anything for him.
He can be very boring no denying it but his matchmaking could be better IMO he's constantly fighting bad style clashes that are always going to make a defensive counterpuncher look boring.

I'm not a matchmaker that is just my thoughts. Its no surprise he is a hard sell when being matched against guys with these negative styles who are clearly a few levels or more below him.

Simply offer Lara what you're willing to pay Jacobs, and let's see what happens!
Junior backed out though. And brook took what was offered. He didn't cry about money like team lara.

                    End of story.

That's a deal kill all in itself. Brook on the other hand brought millions to the table with the UK market supporting him.

Lara fights infrequently, often against very poor opposition, is content on not pleasing the crowd, and demands a high salary. Those are the traits of a fighter looking for a handout.
I think he's a fighter looking for respect! Unfortunately he's in a different world! The world of today would rather see Vargas vs. Salido III, than Mayweather vs. Lara I. They would rather see GGG vs. Brook II than Terence Crawford vs. Rances Barthelemy I. Lara is not facing reality! He doesn't sell!
