None, but he accepted terms. Laras own manager states they are looking for big money, so in reality, hes killing his chances before they even begin. So again, what middleweight has Lara fought to justify his position that his goal is to prove hes better than GGG?

    None.

      Andrade Steadily Calling Lara out

Lara isn't get fights because he wants too much. His worth and what he thinks he's worth is two very different things.

He doesn't want to earn it either. Andrade wants to fight him. That's a huge win.

Why isn't Lara beating Andrade, more gong to 160, winning fights, and putting real pressure on Golovkin.

Everyone says 154 is too good to leave, really, because few are fighting there. J-Rock and Charlo are fighting, and that's about as good as 154 gets right now.

The fact of the matter is, he is very good and considered HIGH risk , low reward. So nobody is going to be in a hurry looking his way.

If he was perceived as a weak belt holder, fighters would have been drooling at the prospect of taking it away from him. They are not and its not because he is a "runner".
If he wanted to fight ggg so bad he would have moVed up to 160 and became mandatory and ggg would have to fight him or vacate the belt.

I don't mind him fighting cab drivers, but why does he have to be the headliner? What's so special about this guy? Why not just put him on somebody else's undercard?

Did I think he won? Yes. Am I upset with the decision? No. I'm not like Kovalev fans. I can understand that close fights can be decided by disagreement on a round or two. Canelo did what he had to do and got the W.

Lara has no one to blame but himself. He was given every young fighter's dream fight and was content with playing a game of "one for you, two for me". He left Las Vegas with an L on his record and bored casual fans who have no desire to see him perform ever again.

Lesson learned. Don't take any single round for granted.
Perfectly said. I saw the fight with my brother at some bar and he likes Canelo but thought he lost also.

              Yeah.

              Like Kell Brook did.

And seriously, GGG should just fight the guy. I sincerely doubt Lara would have much a shot at beating him. He could shut up a lot of people.

Exactly, people want to give him **** about his opponent but he can only fight the fighters that are willing to get in the ring with him. People can't get mad at his quality of opponent when the other good fighters don't want to step in the ring with him.

That's why I think Lara should've fought Jacobs @ 160 in 2016! If he beat Jacobs, GGG would have to fight him. There are plenty of good (not big money) fights @ 154 (Andrade, J-Rock, Tony Harrison, Jarrett Hurd) but if he wants GGG, he has to move to 160 ASAP. I doubt if GGG is @ 160 in 2018. Erislandy Lara vs. BJ Saunders for the WBO title! Make it happen!

K2 was negotiating GGG vs. Eubank Jr. and suddenly Brook took the fight. Brook did nothing to earn a shot at the MW champion of the world. Lara's resume is better than Brook, and I believe he deserved at least a draw vs. Canelo! If Brook is good enough to get a fight, then Lara is way overdue! Simply offer Lara what you're willing to pay Jacobs, and let's see what happens!
