Who do all PPV cards need to be $70?

I feel as if they deliberately had the two prices - 50 for regular and 60 for HD - and then slowly slid the regular price up to 60 and made the HD 70.
As boxing fans compared to other sports fans, our situation is less than idealComment

It ****ing sucks lol. I guess it's to adjust for inflation and the growing costs of PPV production and setting up a big boxing match. It sucks but I checked the buying power of $50 in 1995 (just picked a random 90s year) and says it's $79.99. So looking at that, HBO/promoters can still raise the price for HD $10 more dollars and then they will be matching the 1990s $50 a PPV if they want to match inflation
When adjusted for inflation, we are paying what would've been $44.50 in 1995 as far as the $70 price tag goes. If PPV's were $50 today, that would equal $31.65 in 1995Comment

I mean I ain't rich, but I can afford them and do end up getting the vast majority of PPVs, but f**k, man. Beyond the money it's the damn principle.
As we all know most of the undercards are straight trash, of course I watch every second because first off I love the sport, and second to get my "money's worth", but like 80% of the undercard match ups are ESPN Friday Night Fights level ****. Or worse.
So basically for all intents and purposes we are paying $70 to see an hour worth of a fight that we actually want to see...and that's if it lasts that long.Comment
