My questions to JDJ are:

#1: Why wasn't Sergey better prepared for in-fighting?

#2: Sergey seems to fade in the later rounds. Is that the result of conditioning?

#3: What were your instructions to Sergey when it was clear that Ward was making a comeback in the 2nd half of the fight?

I think Sergey and team knew they were not going to be better than Ward at infighting, so decided to clinch/hold at that range, get the break, and start off again at a more favorable range. He did that ALOT in the second half of the fight.

I think Sergey was not ready for the body-shots he took. Ward lands a lot of sneaky/odd body shots when on the inside. Those shots, plus throwing alot of hard shots early, wore him out.

RN doesn't want a rematch b/c they don't want to lose anymore money.

ME exercised the rematch clause, I would think we'd hear some news soon on the rematch so that they could actually start marketing it this time.

ME should allow the fight to take place in LA. I think they'd sell out the Forum and make the most money that way.

That's what I don't get. They keep saying Ward will win more convincingly next time. I like Ward but I don't see him going the full 12 in a rematch. Kov is more skilled than people give him credit for. They act like only Ward has the capacity to make adjustments.

before the fight it was like "what would kovalev do when ward adapts"? and adapting wasn't that much, just do enough to don't get KO and reach the scorecards. ward is a really good fighter but he is everything he showed vs kovalev, no more.

or kovalev KOs him in the rematch or it goes the exact same way in terms of actions. in this fight kovalev's power is the only thing that can make a difference inside the ring.
