Canelo's stock will drop when he gets embarrassed by ggg. Oscar knows this. So they want to delay the fight and make as much money now. Then when the first fight happens cash out high as possible. The rematch, which there will be clause will be also very lucrative. But after canelo loses twice, his stock drops and his PR will be in trouble due to him ducking etc in the first place. Public opinion will drive canelos stock and legacy down. 10mill is a bs offer. Is big Fu to ggg. Golden boy had a very weak stable right nowComment

I don't understand how more boxing fans don't understand this. Canelo/GBP/and Tom Loeffler (GGG's promoter) have already confirmed a $10 million (flat-fee) offer for the fight. Loeffler turned it DOWN even though GGG has never made remotely close to $10 million before.
GGG pulled Kell Brook up to 2 weight classes (13 pounds) instead of meeting him in the middle or even conceding a couple of pounds. Canelo dropped to 152 for Floyd. GGG has demanded Canelo move up in weight to meet him where he is comfortable. GGG makes 0 concessions, but expects everyone else to make concessions for him.
FACT: Canelo/GBP have offered a career high payday to GGG of $10 million. Tom Loeffler (GGG's promoter) has confirmed this and rejected the offer.
No reason for Canelo to make concessions in weight, pay, site, or anything else GGG cries about. Canelo is the "A" side - big time. GGG's only PPV was on the back of Lemiuex (all PPV buys were essentially Canadian) so GGG has ZERO room to make demands. Keep in mind GGG's best win is against a 147'lber at 160...his team must be trolling. Seriously...they've gotta be trolling the public for the last 2 years. Best troll ever. Definite trollComment

Basically this. Facts are in boxing nowadays, having a loss on your record in your prime can ruin your whole career. Mayweather can be written off as Canelo still being green, and Mayweather a true ATG, but a loss against GGG now, as Canelo has emerged into the biggest star in boxing, would be career suicide. Unless of course it was close enough to warrant a rematch and could then be avenged.
Having said that, I really don't think GGG is a dead cert to beat Canelo. Canelo is a big hitter and a very skilled fighter- more skilled than GGG if not as raw. GGG will get hit, and hard- by Canelo if they fight.Comment

All this a-side and b-side bullsht. Since when did boxing fans become managers and financial advisors? STFU and demand the fight, if we had done this in 2009 we wouldn't have gotten that stinker between two legends last year.Comment

Ummm, GGG is definitely the A side in many fights. Ward is 50/50 (I don't want to turn this into a Ward-GGG debate). Froch and Cotto would not be the B sides (although I don't think those fights happen). There is debate as to whether Brook or GGG was the main draw in their fight. Anyway, my point is that by beating Canelo, he becomes a cash cow. It's important to think about future potential due to a fight. Example: Floyd became a super star after fighting De La Hoya. GGG can do the same. But he has to make the necessary concessions to get that opportunity. After a Canelo fight, any other fight he makes will yield him more money than it would without a Canelo fight beforehand. It seems you don't understand that GGG is already an A-side fighter against any other fighter in any discussion. Canelo fight is viewed by him as the reward. Even if he beats Canelo, there are no other fights that will earn him more than he is earning already. All other fights are not superfights in terms of money (Ward? 160K buys? Really?), while Canelo is for glory and BIG money. The only fight which GGG would take for whatever money and shot at superstardom would be Mayweather fight, but it doesn't seem realistic.Comment

I am not and niether are you. But Canelo is the a side don't need anyone to confirm that, and ggg won't move from 160, won't take 10+ mil. FactsComment

Bullcrap. Golovkin is willing to fight Jacobs for his mandated share of the purse, as per WBA rules. He isn't trying to impose a flat fee on Danny.Comment

Then why are people attacking Canelo? So far the only real offer that we know about is Canelo offering GGG $10 million to fight. GGG and his team turned that down because it wasn't enough for them.
So why are people attacking Canelo and defending Golovkin when - so far - GGG fights dud after dud or pulls up WW 13 lbs while Canelo fights Cotto, Trout, Lara, Floyd, Angulo, Kirkland, etc.
Hello GGG and his team can't even fight Jacobs without crying about something being unfair. Yet trashcan bandwagon fans blindly defend GGG. It's the most childish **** I've seen Pacman acted like the girl he is for 7 yearsComment
