This thread is utterly ******ed. Ward now has 2 wins against men considered top 3 p4p when he fought them. In addition to that, he has wins over Froch, Kessler and the other guys in the Super 6. I can't see how Ward isn't a 1st ballot HOF'er.

This was meant to be a huge PPV event but it flopped, nobody cares about Ward lol the atmosphere at that arena was very weak to say the least.
        Attendance was 13,310.

HAHAHAHAH Dawson at 168 was p4p material? Kovalev win was highly suspect..

          Utter fanboyism.

I am not a Ward fan. I had Kov winning the fight 114-113. The fact is Dawson and Kov were considered top 3 p4p fighters when Ward defeated them.

Utter fanboyism is you trying to deny this fact. Dawson didn't lose his stature because he fought at 168. Now, would the win have been better if he was 175, of course .

Yes, the Kov win was a close decision. Wouldn't be the 1st time a fighter had a close win.

Given his body of work to date IMO he is a sure fire HOF'er.

Dawson was ranked #10 by Ring mag when he fought Ward. So fail there son. Dawson was also a 2.8-to-1 betting underdog. Dawson was fighting at 168 pounds for the first time in over six years.

Fail argument. Fanboyism. Kovalev won in the majorities eyes.

Is this relevant to the thread? And is only Ward to blame for that?

Now this is just blatantly inconsistent with reality

There are more rankings then Ring but maybe I am over valuing Dawson with that. So Ward has 3 wins over top 10 p4p fighters-Froch, Dawson, Kov.

As I said I had Kov winning but that wasn't the judges decision. HOF is based on a fighter's actual record, not whether 73% of ringside scorers had the other guy winning.

He is a sure fire HOF'er.

Why people hate on Ward is beyond me. Guy took every challenge in his own weight, beat everyone with ease, went up and fought the most dangerous for him boxer possible (who was clearly at least top3 p4p). He is no Canelo, no GGG, no ****ing Gift Garcia.
He is clearly in HOF already, there are many boxers in Canastota whom Andre surpassed already.

Come on man say Sven Otke was being considered. They really wouldn't consider his reputation & manner of those wins? HOF needs a reality check then.. If they ignore circumstances & just go on boxrec then that is ******ed.
