Rematches are always better for a fighter of Ward's caliber. They will do it again and he will win even more convincingly this time.

If he can adjust in the fight to come back from that and look even stronger in the 2nd half, I fully believe he can adjust exponentially with some time to ponder and plan.

Kovalev looked brilliant in the start but I do wonder what he can do to keep that from happening again. What if he doesn't get a KD next time? Then he's just out-boxed for most of the fight.

His main problem came from his hands slowing in the 2nd half, IMO. Once that happened, he wasn't going to drop Andre again. I don't know that he can fix that unless he can shut down Ward's ability to strike his body.
Also, if they get a ref that lets Ward grapple like he has in the past, Kovalev is fuqed.
Kovalev did seem to only have a plan A..all they talked about was power leading up to this fight..but after the power didnt end it he could not finish.. He needs to cut the ring off better and work the uppercut when Ward dips..I love his feints but he never set anything up with them. Kovalev needs to keep Ward in front of him as that is where he had his success...the rematch will be great

          this

ward is a boxer type fighter above all else. he knows what he has to do from the onset in the rematch. kovalev will just do more of the same, maybe be a bit more ferocious early on but im pretty sure ward will know how to deal with it and will be ready for it.

            TALK THAT **** DRE!!!

dre now has the confidence to know he can take kovalev power and knows he has the strength to dictate inside.. kovalev is getting pummeled in the rematch, he has no answers for the superior P4P king from oakland.

..... and the better fighter, is Andre Ward !

Ward needed 12 hard rounds under his belt, he will be much better next up..... and now he knows Kovalev, now there are no surprises

Ward will start round 13 where he left off round 12
I think, Ward being such a relentless competitor, this will push him to raise his personal standards. Everyone that's been in the gym with him says he's a man possessed. As long as he's not content with "good enough" strives to a level above the fighter who beat Kovalev last night, I think he'll find that next level. He always has in the past.

There were times when they clinched and Kov pushed him away or waited to byrd to break them up. That's what he should have been doing more, break off quicker instead of wrestling with ward.

Ward nothing when the fight was fought outside. Kov's length and power dominated. I think Ward will have to make a bigger adjustment in the rematch and that's by having a plan to get inside without getting caught.

Ward's lack of a right hand showed up, he didn't land a single solid right hand to the head.
Interesting, how many solid rights did Kov land? I just watched the fight again I didn't see what you saw, from rd 4 on Ward was getting inside when he wanted and made Kov wrestle and was beating his body.

Please let me know what rounds that Kov was landing these solid right hands and I will go back and watch.

the only thing they need to adjust is the judges.

This is a bit worrisome. It comes across as if he's trying to delegitimize the rematch. That bit about looking at all offers sounds as if he's looking for another fight.
