Whether it be 1 point or 12.

And Ward won it by 1.
I guess the judges scorecard is what matters, because this challenger didn't "Win the fight" IMHO.

Kovalev won 5 of the first 6 rounds, dropped Ward heavily and stunned him in another round...Yet, the American fighter, on the American network, gets the decision.

      Honestly boxing, **** off.

Yes it was close, competitive but Kovalev clearly won the fight.
It's pretty much all I have heard since, apart from the usual suspects.

I feel the same way as Bradley-Pacquiao fight, if everyone thinks you got a gift, you didn't really win and that's enough for me.

Regardless the challenger doesn't have to "take the belt" which is such a frustrating thing to hear still in the year 2016.

They fight was clearly an either way fight and Ward won it by 1 point. That's all he needs to do to "take the belt from the champion"

What heart from the p4p no. 1 Andre Ward.
nevertheless Kovalev was the aggressor who did the most damage. There wasn't a round where Ward was leading the action, and there weren't many rounds were you can say Ward really outperformed Kovalev. I mean who would you have rather been tonight?

6-6, but kov scored a knockdown so he should have won. You would have to give every little thing to Ward to have the score the judges had. One thing also id like to point out is that Kovalev was the champion and Ward didnt do enough to take the belt from him but o well thats y boxing is where its at.
