Rounds 5,6 and 10 were toss up rounds honestly. I still don't know how Lederman gave Kovalev round 12

        Ward won: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12
        Kovalev won: 1, 2, 10
        Close: 11

Dunno what fight the judges were watching, making it so close.

This PPV event was a huge flop regardless of who won the fight I feel bad for whoever paid.
Man, at one point, ward tried to shoot Kovalevs leg like he was on a wrestling mat. He lifted his leg and tried to pick him up. All of the "ward is stronger on the inside" did not show in this fight. Kovalev was clearly the stronger of the two and just as smart and controlled the entire pace of the fight.

And Ward won it by 1.

You don't think he won round 2 too?
Why not? He clinched in that round too - if it gave him all the other ones, why not round 2?

First, I want to congratulate Andre Ward on such a spirited display of will and determination by getting off the canvas an edging an out a very close decision.

He showed a lot of courage and grit in there against a very strong and powerful opponent. He actually surprised me in this fight. I picked Kovalev to win before the fight, but after the knock down, Sergey just wasn't effective enough for me.

He allowed Ward to slow the pace and get back into a rhythm. Sure, he was the aggressive but failed to cut off the ring and was reduced to landing only single punches at a time.

However, I can honestly say that there were no real losers tonight. I thought the fight could have gone either way but Ward seemed liked he wanted it just a little bit more to me.

As there was no sense of urgency in Kovalev, after the first two rounds; Especially that second round knockdown but I would love for these to two to fight again.

I know Kovalev won at least 2 rounds from 7-12.
Wow, Ward won 3 of those.
