Ward is getting $5 mil for his fight against Kovalev. He offered GGG a 50/50 split. Ward v. GGG would've been a bigger fight commercially than Ward vs Kovalev so their purses would've been closer to $7mil & the PPV 50/50 split. By far the most profitable fight for GGG to date. Turning down $10 mil & $5+ mil plus 50/50 PPV upside this guy is going to be fighting into his 50's trying to make a good payday

And before you start with the 'Ward can't make 168' remember, Ward has never missed weight & was 173.5 two weeks out from his fight with Smith. Ward has always been a professional when it comes to weight & if he would've missed weight there would've been a severe financial penalty.

GGG is the A-Side... Asking Golovkin to move up in weight and take a 50/50 is laughable.

Ward is on the same level as Kovalev that's why they're splitting everything.
