Ward is getting paid $5 mil. So 5+5=10. But GGG vs Ward is a bigger fight than Ward vs Kovalev so the purses wouldve been higher!

GGG is the A-Side... Asking Golovkin to move up in weight and take a 50/50 is laughable.

Ward is on the same level as Kovalev that's why they're splitting everything.
They're not splitting everything doe. Ward's $5million guarantee is from Ward's promoter to Ward alone, not Kovalev.

That's not how logic works mate. Truth is we don't know what was offered. Or if money was offered in the e-mail they sent.

Roc would have guaranteed GGG $5million if he'd signed to fight Ward?

          Seriously?
That's why I said $5+ mil. Ward is a bigger draw than Kovalev. The Ward v. GGG fight would've been bigger than this fight so their purses would've been higher! And the PPV upside!

We know a 50/50 offer was made. They never got to discuss money, venue, date, glove size..... Anything!!!! Because Loeffler said NO within 5 minutes of receiving the email.

Because they were more insterested in fighting the winner of Cotto-Canelo, for instance.

Always have a plan B ready or else you end up fighting the Wade's, Monroe's, and welterweights. It's always good to consider every offer. Don't put your eggs in one basket.

That doesn't alter the fact that Ward's guarantee of $5million is for Ward alone, not for Kovalev.

If you think that Roc would have guaranteed GGG $5million, as well as Ward, if he'd signed their contract, you are crazy!

And it's all academic anyway, Roc knew Loeffler was going to reject their "offer". It was made as a PR stunt to publicise Ward signing his new deal with HBO to fight Kovalev, and it worked.
