I don't think anyone will call him a hypejob job if he loses. After all, Pacquiao is favored and it's not like Vargas is being hyped up by media or fans, even before this fight. U are right about "Pacquiao was too old" being a theme if Vargas emerges victorious but sadly it wouldn't be entirely untrue. He is not the fighter he once was although he did look pretty good against Bradley last time.

I get Mayweather's point. There is a double standard. But just as with Ali, Robinson, Joe Louis and other greats when they lost in the tail end of their career many people would say TBE lost because age caught up with him. It is all hypothetical, Mayweather has not lost. If he does come back now and loses, it will not detract from his brilliant career. Most people will simply say he got old!

I agree with Floyd's overall sentiment. If Pac loses now they will blame it on age, however they wouldn't be wrong. Pac is over the hill now and I wouldn't be surprised if he has a tough time tomorrow night.
here's the thing though. all those rematches was against ATGs and fight was real close. it wasnt like manny went and fought algieri 3 times. and depending on how manny perform tomorrow will tell you how much he has aged. if he shows up looking like martinez did against cotto, are you gonna say that was a fresh manny but vargas was just better? gtfo!

and its a win win for manny??? if he wins, vargas was not on his level. it was a cherry pick. a money grab.

its actually a win win vargas, he will be getting his career high pay day, win or lose. so come again with that bs.

exactly! if floyd comes back and loses, it will pretty much be because of his age. now most pac fans will not admit to that just like how most floyd fans will not admit that manny got old.

Vargas is already considered "a hype job." If he loses, it just confirms that opinion!

Morales, Barrera and Marquez were ATG's and Pac's fights with them were all good competitive fights.
Most fans wanted to see these fights. I've watched all these fights more than once.
Floyd may be the best of his generation but Manny was the most exciting fighter of the generation. It's totally like Mayweather to knock a guy he's jealous of.
