WTF are you on about? This isn't about ATG ranking, it's about comparing two fights - one was significant bigger, but the fights can be compared by their protagonists.

In this case, the A-side who deserves the greater majority offers a flat fee - the B-side says no, I'm not leaving untold millions on the table.

In both scenarios, Larry and his idiot crew on this site were telling Pac and GGG to take the flat fee.

Pac said no, ended up making $150m. So the idiots were wrong.

But now the idiots are back, saying GGG should take the $10m.

The idiots still haven't learned their lesson.

Is this explanation clear enough for you?

You, just like them are probably scared to see Canelo get handled and beaten up so you will agree with the coked up tales Oscar feeds the sheep.
And you realize that Lil G cheapest tickets go for $30 bucks while Canelo's cheapest go for $170 or that Canelo last fight in Cowboy Stadium brought in more fans than Lil G last two fights in "sold out" venues. Listen anyway you cut it Canelo is the A side he calls the shot not Lil G best he can do is accept his terms and take his shine

Handing over a belt was the first tactic, and now trying to shortchanged an established name on getting some ppv cut is another. Oscar saw this work to success when mayweather offered it to pac so he's running with it because he knows there are some simpletons out there who will think that it's a fair offer when it really isn't. Pac turned it down when mayweather offered it and eventually cot 4 times more than what mayweather was offering.
You have to put things into context. The fight was worth more last year than it was in 2013 when the 40M was offered. Also, the 40M was for Manny if he dropped Arum and fought independent. The roughly 120M he got from the fight had to be split with Arum. Further...Trip is no where near Manny in terms of drawing power and earning potential. There really is no comparison between the two flat fee offers.

Manny said no and the fight was built up for two more years. Both fighters profiles increased. We are talking 9 months here and how will Trip increase his profile or drawing power. Plus don't compare the 40M offer to the 120M purse. The 40M was direct to Manny, cutting Arum out. The 120M included Arum cut.

The context of Manny's decision is far different than for Trip. Manny could afford to gamble because he held big chips. He was a ppv stud in his own right. Trip is not and isn't even projected to gain any more leverage between now and September 2017.

pac is not a realistic fight. I was referring to fights that can actually be made. Not imaginary scenarios. No way they come to an agreement on weight. I know you want to defend Canelo because he's Mexican but be sensible, everyone knows he scared and no lie that Oscar spews is believable unless you're a biased Mexican or a gullible fool. Which are u?

yes ggg isn't anywhere near pac in drawing power and Canelo is nowhere near Floyd either to try and pull the same moves Floyd has.

false, Canelo has had tickets for $10 before vs trout and his last fight was $60 vs Smith. A side yes, big enough to offer ggg a flat fee, nope.

this getting embarrassing now. Canelo cant just decide every 2 minutes he wants to be a middleweight but not fight at that weight.
I would at least fight at middleweight.

Its a dam shame hes avoiding GGG

If things go to script, Alvarez has his return fight come January/February, the Saunders fight basically lined up for May [PPV], and then the possible Cotto rematch as a bigger event in Spetember [PPV].

With a middleweight belt around his waist again (and the WBO sanctioning rules being what they are), Alvarez can basically focus on taking on any fight that he wants, with the fanbase that's already with him sticking around no matter what.
I'd hate to burst your bubble but Canelo-Cotto 2 is not a bigger event than Canelo-GGG. Canelo-GGG is the most anticipated fight in boxing.

Didn't the WBO already order Avtandil Khurtsidze/Tommy Langford?

GGG in trouble WBO president can block him
