SRL, after all the BS, knew Hagler wanted to get the big payday. As we found out later he split 50/50 with Hagler in part so he could pick the widest ring possible. The wider ring gave SRL a much better chance of winning as he had more room to move.

Now is it fair that SRL pulled the fake announcement then used Hagler's pride against him, no. Hagler however could've said no but he DESPERATELY wanted to get the big payday he felt he was never fairly given. He cared about the money as much as he did the chance to beat SRL.

It's a a tough, hard, unfair decision to have to make. In the real world the choice isn't between good and bad but the lesser of 2 bad choices where you only get a little of what you want.
I thought you said you have nothing against manny? its his fans that turn you off?

a rematch with cotto will not bring that, a fight with many will not bring that. and the manny fight will never happen. so its down to a rematch with cotto.
You don't think that a Pacquiao fight would be a bigger one fight payday than GGG???

Nothing. Its good that we dont have to be blessed with all his boring lack luster fights. I think its great.

But if you just retired and had an opportunity to make...i dont know somewhere around a 100 mill ( and you havent retired a year yet) would you wanna make that "easy money"?

Especailly if he made it look so easy. And especailly if beating Manny was "easy work". Hey why not. He didnt retire due to a injury or any other medical condition.

        What would you do?

Why would he take only 10 million when his leaving a lot more money on the table. And by the looks of it this could be the biggest fight of his career in regards to money. So he should capitalise on it and try get as much money as he can.

not even close! pac's opponents average anywhere from $4-$8mil. cotto got $12mil which was a rare occasion but at that time it makes sense. manny vs canelo, half the boxing fans is already counting pac out saying its a mismatch and that he's gonna get knocked out. this fight will not be bigger than canelo vs ggg.

exactly this!!! they always seem to ignored that part. "well, its gonna be his biggest payday". so what?! not if the other guy is gonna make 4x the amount you're getting.

I'd probably stay retired seeing as I already proved I was the better man. Don't worry I'm sure Floyd will eventually return.

I think he comes back to fight Thurman/Danny winner. He could then fight Manny or Canelo.

I could see Floyd beating the danny/thurman winner then losing to Canelo to set up a 3rd fight then he is done.
