so the answer to the thread is no, since they could be cheating you out of a couple more mil.
The answer to the thread is GGG can either take the deal now, knowing its a shitty deal but at least getting the fight, or he can refuse it knowing Cnaelo may never fight him and knowing that waiting for a better deal may reduce his chances of winning but will increase his purse.
His choice. Whatever choice he makes doesn't matter to me. He doesn't strike me as having the cajones to do what Floyd or Kov did. I could be wrong though.

His choice. Whatever choice he makes is fine with me.
A fair summary of the situation. Whether or not it's 'fair' it is what it is. Time is on Canelo's side here... he can afford to wait. Golovkin? Well that's for them to decide I guess.

It seems pretty simple to me. Its a tough choice to make, no question.

but the thread didn't imply anyone though. it was a question, "if you were confident you could beat someone, would you fight them for $10mil".. that's why I asked a very similar question, "if you were confident you could beat someone, would you fight them without random drug test"..
I do not like Manny so posters will cite bias. I will use SRL/Hagler since I hate SRL and Hagler is my favorite fighter ever.
SRL, after all the BS, knew Hagler wanted to get the big payday. As we found out later he split 50/50 with Hagler in part so he could pick the widest ring possible. The wider ring gave SRL a much better chance of winning as he had more room to move.
Now is it fair that SRL pulled the fake announcement then used Hagler's pride against him, no. Hagler however could've said no but he DESPERATELY wanted to get the big payday he felt he was never fairly given. He cared about the money as much as he did the chance to beat SRL.
It's a a tough, hard, unfair decision to have to make. In the real world the choice isn't between good and bad but the lesser of 2 bad choices where you only get a little of what you want.
If this fight doesn't happen GGG is out his biggest one fight payday. If this fight doesn't happen Canelo is also out of his biggest one fight payday. It works both ways.
Actually, you are only partially right. If this fight doesn't happen then GGG misses out on his biggest one fight payday.
But as for Canelo...there has already been mention of a Cotto rematch. And Freddie Roach has shown interest in having Pacquiao fight Canelo as well. Those two would both be big one fight paydays.

The ginger kid has options.
keyword: "biggest one fight payday"
a rematch with cotto will not bring that, a fight with many will not bring that. and the manny fight will never happen. so its down to a rematch with cotto.
