Let's get real here. Golovkin would take the fight right now if it was possible. It's not. So why not negotiate? He can't make the fight happen any sooner. There's no way any of the people saying he should sign this deal would say the same if Golovkin offered Ward 6 million flat for a fight in September 2017. It's blatantly obvious what the agenda is here.

Who cares if the fight is in 10 months? Get the fight and KO Canelo, all that crap about Ward or whatnot is just BS. They cannot cry about someone ducking him when he offer he has on the table is the biggest of his life.

I don't know if boxing needs a floyd/Manny rematch. You have to convince people that Manny is going to show up and fight like the Manny fans are used to. I doubt many people believe he actually will given what has transpired since then.

I know doehard Manny fans will try and spin it differently but even they know the deal.
it would be good for boxing if Floyd lose to Canelo ,but i daubt if Floyd Care about boxing (ofc he dont need to i dont hate him or something )i think in this situation Floyd lose in 155-160 but would he take fight like this?

If floyd tries to fight Canelo again, the fight will not be at 152, it will be 157-160. Canelo would have more leverage then he did in the 1st fight IMO.

WHo knows though. Floyd may just keep all fights in house (MP or PBC) and fight Danny/thurman winner and retire.

          .
The Floyd-Alvarez-GGG is paradoxical, and it would take good a good industry writer to lay out the proper circumstances.

I don't know who from whichever party requested 152, perhaps that was a concession of various from the contract agreements. I think Floyd would beat Alvarez at 154 then and perhaps even now, so why 152, perhaps agreement to more for the cut? Keep in mind Floyd came in south of 152 against Cotto and the limit was at its full. Floyd came in south of 151 against Oscar, again with the max limit allowed. So why 152 for Alvarez?

Then we've got the whole mess with Golovkin stating he'd love to fight the winner of May vs Pac at 154, and Abel and team are on numerous record for wanting it! Then you'Ve got nobody from 154-168 can be in the ring with Golovkin....or that Alvarez is not Floyd...but Abel and Loeffler are not interested in a catchweight dealing and negotiating with two men who agreed themselves to a catchweight when they fought, Oscar vs Bhop....

Surprisingly with Golovkin, they'Ve set the standard with their fans believing that catchweights are out of the question...that it must be 160...

168 for Froch and Jr.., but Ward at 164...with fans constantly on NSB saying ''Ward should've taken 50/50 with Golovkin at 164''

I exempt Floyd from these fiascoes, but if gossip girls want to pin on this as if GBP and Alvarez don't know what they're doing but somehow K2 are innocent then the current state of boxing has clearly pulled over UFC fans mingling into the sport...

How do Golovkin fans seem to know what's right financially and never at fault, but everyone else is to blame.

And many of these being #48 bitter alts is a whole different story!

Not till Sept 2017 doe. And from what Oscar was saying, they made the offer to GGG over a month ago.

So you disagree with me that GGG will get more than 10 million for the fight?

              • I'd fight anyone for far less than 10mil, regardless of whether I thought I could win.

On Tuesday Alvarez made it clear that the catchweight was all Mayweather's idea.

"when the (fight) negotiations started, they wanted me to go to 147. I said that's physically impossible. I couldn't do it. Then they inched up to 150. I said I can't do it, that's impossible. Those days are over. I can't make that weight anymore, I've grown.

"Then they went up to 151. And then finally, so we could make the fight, I said, 'If anything, I'll give up two pounds. I'll go up to 152. I agreed to that. Then they tried to force me to be quiet and not to mention anything that they came up with the weight of 152. And that's why ... I haven't said anything until now.

                  • LOL...I would box anybody for half that amount, who cares whether I am confident to win or not.

As long as I can enjoy the money later, I'd be more than glad to make a fool of myself until my opponent decides to knock me out.

But well, I am not a pro boxer.

As for GGG, I do not care how much he thinks he deserves.
The bottom line to me is: GGG team brags a lot, but they still have to back it up... the clock is ticking...

of course you would. I would too. but when you're in a position to get more, your not gonna jump at this offer. these two will earn their biggest payday only if they fight each other.
