It would be interesting in styles also. Mosley might be a good matchup stylisticly for Hatton. Mosley likes to get into that semi-medium range and flurry and back away....Mosley was never really a boxer more of a flurry guy back up, flurry back up.

I dont see him getting the room he needs to do that versus Hatton, that along with Hattons pace which is tough for an even prime fighter might be enough to crack Mosley's shell.

Mosley has shown a great chin though and does have some decent power but IMHO not enough power and not elusive enough to defeat Hatton.
anybody who beats fernando vargas shouldnt have much trouble with ricky hatton

If this is true its a BIG MISTAKE for HATTON, Ive only seen one of his fights, TZSYU and was unimpressed, going into the 8th he was down like 75-77, and his style was horribley boring pressing forward clinching or throwing, throwing or clinching! I personally think Sugar Shane is gonna put him down, if this fight does occur, becuz Shane is faster, the better boxer and at times can be physicaly! ID PERSONALLY LIKE TO SEE HATTONS !ST LOSE COME TO PBF, BUT OH WELL GO GET HIM SUGAR!

no it woln't because people will say colazo is a bumb and mosley is old and way past it, which he is a bit now and will be especially by the time they fight because mosley will be 35 or 36 since he's fighting vargas in july.

If he beats Hatton then that will be a step in that direction, he beat an aging fighter and if he is as good as they say then he should beat Collazo. I'll say he's good but I'm not calling him great until he fights some "A" fighters and not on the decline. Mosley is an exception because he might be able to beat Hatton.

Well if Hatton beat Shane Mosley he would deserve a ton of creidt but I don't see it. Both guys stadn in front so it'd be a good brawl. I guess this fight actually makes a lot of sense and would do huge PPV numbers. I do feel that if Shane can stand in with a very strong guy like Vargas at 154, then Hatton's pressure wouldn't really botehr him. ONly way he'd lose is if he did somethign dumb like go to England

Wouldn't Shane Mosley be the draw of the fight?Because I just can't see him going over to England to fight Hatton

This could actually be Ricky's first 'L' if the story is true. I'd be surprised if HBO wanted this fight so soon...
