    Hatton to face Mosley next

Just said on Sky Sports that HBO are lining this up next for Ricky should he beat Collazo.

Not seen much of this guy but has a very good record, beating de la hoya twice, vargas, estrada. Only lost on decisions to Forrest x2, winky x2. Seems like a big step up, surely he is naturally quite bigger aswell?

What's he like, how would you see it going?

I guess he likes fighting fighters that are in their mid 30's and not in their prime...oh well...Shane is still physically stronger in my opinion, still faster, probably packs a better punch, great chin, experience...it is just that he is not the same as he once was.

HBO might be lining it up, but is Hatton

If this is true (and you did not provide a link to help us) then this is not an easy fight at all for Hatton. In fact, I think he'd get stopped on cuts.

He's probably fighting Mosley to prepare for Mayweather. However, I agree that it's not an easy fight for Hatton.

Let me clarify. Even though I am a Mosley detractor, here are some things I think are generally true:

          1) Hatton is younger and fresher.
          2) Hatton cuts very easily.
          3) Mosley is good at taking advantage of cuts/wounds (see Vargas fight).
          4) Mosley is bigger, has a rock solid chin, and has the strength that will nullify Hatton's smothering style.

I think this is one of the few past-his-prime fighters that Hatton would lose to, if it happened.

I'm not so sure that Mosley would be the bigger guy here. It seems to me that Hatton is naturally bigger than Mosley. Mosley started at 130lbs and has slowly filled into the higher weights but lost a lot of the power he showed in the lighter weights.

It would be interesting in styles also. Mosley might be a good matchup stylisticly for Hatton. Mosley likes to get into that semi-medium range and flurry and back away....Mosley was never really a boxer more of a flurry guy back up, flurry back up.

I dont see him getting the room he needs to do that versus Hatton, that along with Hattons pace which is tough for an even prime fighter might be enough to crack Mosley's shell.

Mosley has shown a great chin though and does have some decent power but IMHO not enough power and not elusive enough to defeat Hatton.
