Gomez and Oscar both said after the smith fight they offered 8 figures with ppv upside no money split means percentage fool depending on if break even or have extra cash after everybody payed off after fight he has a chance to get some of upside a percentage split guarantees he will get way more then 10-15mil bigger slice of pie with percentage split

They said they offered it a month prior, yet 2 weeks before Smith Oscar was saying no upside for Ggg, see article. Everything we've heard since said no upside, that's the problem here

Flat fee plus ppv upside has been well stated. Upside meaning if the ppv buys exceed a certain amount, Golovkin gets extra cash. DLH doesn't want to negotiate on percentages as he basically believes that if the fight exceeds budgeted expectations it will be because of Alvarez as "Golovkin doesn't sell".

So no upside, gotcha. Apparently Oscar is wrong cause with a weak B side Canelo does 200-300k. Canelo vs Ggg is the biggest fight in boxing for a reason

There's no harm in trying to negotiate something better when the fight's not for another 11 months anyway. If Canelo stands firm though, GGG should take the $10M. It's probably at least double what he's ever made before and he's getting older. He wouldn't have PPV upside, but the upside for him would be after he KO's Canelo.
