Take the money and let's see what you got in the ring Little g!Originally posted by Sugar Adam Ali View PostWell genius,,, that's why they do a purse split... Like 65/35.
Makes 100 million,,, Canelo gets 65 mil and ggg gets 35...
Fight does 10 million, Canelo gets 6.5 and ggg gets 3.5....
No one knows exactly how much the fight will make that's why they use a variable purse split model...
Taking a flat fee is beyond ****** and has never been done for the biggest fight of the year....
Just look at my response if you guys aren't bright enough to understand how revenue split works..
Just name a fighter that took a flat fee in the biggest fight of the year???
Name the fighter or stfu

Golovkin and his idiot team need to take what they can get. They are fighting an uphill battle with GB, PBC and just about every promotion wanting to wait out his reign, letting him his career fizzle into oblivion. Canelo is the biggest names around and will be for the forseeable future at 154-160. Bottom line if he wants to be the face of boxing, he must beat Canelo.
I'm afraid the truth of the matter is while Golovkin is a game cosumate professional in his performances that entertains and destroys, he is at heart a business man trying to squeeze every cent out of his career. The passion to be the best is merely a media facade and while he trains to be the best, his focus and drive to prioritize building his name at the expense of low ball deals is fiction

Couldn't break 900k vs cotto.. Even though it was the biggest fight to make and cotto drew well over 1.2 mil with both floyd n manny... Hell marquez vs cotto would do nearly as well as cotto/Canelo...
Really only bring 300k vs any other opponent..
Canelo isn't making 20 million by fighting angulo and kirkland.. I don't know where you think Canelo makes 20 million in 2 fights without fighting another star..
Fanboys so overprotective of Canelo... Just give ggg a reasonable split instead of the flat fee and make the fight...
Please name the fighter in the biggest fight of the year that took a flat fee???

Canelo is ***** made. And is putting a bull **** offer out there he knows will not be accepted just try to turn the tables and dumb fans with zero business perspective fall for it. Still trying to save face for calling ggg in the ring. The guy is one of the most protected fighters and gets to fight guys tailored made for him. Besides lara which was a very close fight. Mayweather embarrassed him and won every round. But he was young... blah blah. Excuses he took the fight and it wasnt even competitive. Now wants a rematch but canelo fans fail to say mayweather is retired and way too old. Only talk when stuff is convenient for them.
